PvD DvD & News

Looks like there is going to be a PvD DVD:

Plus: PvD is remixing tracks from the his three full-length albums including the beloved For An Angel. After his victorious court battles in January with his former label, MFS (DE), Paul decided to make the remixes. Quoted from Rolling Stone: "I got all the rights to my back catalog and wanted to do something special, rather than putting it out the way it is. I remixed all the tracks: For an Angel, Seven Ways --the most important tracks of my career." In the last week of June, PvD finished producing the final mix for the DvD in a Berlin club. Also, he experimented with newly developed 5.1 surround sound technology. The project will also feature one new track, Animation, a single taken from the Mexican film La Mano Del Zudro, which he recently finished recording. Van Dyk is also polishing up the music for the Australian film One Perfect Day, a love story bridging the worlds of classical and dance music. "It's about a classical musician who falls in love with this rave-oriented girl. He's writing this piece of music for her, and it transforms from a classical piece of music into a dance track, a pop single." Although this soundtrack is will contain Paul's dance choons, he's planning on wetting his feet in the world of classical music. Plans to record with composer David Hopson and the Melbourne Philharmonic this November are in the works. In order to work on the film scores, he took a break from recording the 16 tracks he wrote for the follow-up to his last album of original material Out There and Back. "My artist albums are really important to me, and I didn't want to confuse them." The album is due out next year and features British chanteuse Jan Johnston, on the track I Don't Care, a song whose lyrics expound on life as a superstar DJ. "People are always asking how is it when people recognize you on the street and how is it to be a superstar DJ, and I always try to explain that this is not important to me. The lyrics are about this...pinpointing the issue of what people think is so glamorous and stylish of what DJ's do. I didn't do this because I wanted to be glamorous." We eagerly await this release, Paul. More updates to come!

PvD DvD is the project name as for now. It might changed after everything is done.

Im really excited that PVD has a DVD coming out. When is it out??

are we Americans ever going to see a domestic release of the DVD since the encoding is different in the UK.
