marianas trench
i thought this was pretty cool..

What we need is one of these to explore those depths.

I hope they get to the bottom of it.
I'm telling all youse: there is some horrible shit at the bottom of the ocean
Lovecraft would flee in horror.

I love twisted bizarre deep sea creatures. Freaky deeky shit.
They found this around 30,000 ft.

Edit: Damn I wish I knew a girl named Mariana with a huge vagina...
Crazy how little we know about the deep. More money should be invested into deep ocean research - I heard in a lecture (think it was on TED.com) that the amount NASA spends in one year would fund all aspects of ocean research for 50 years.
Blue Whales have a maximum dive depth of approx. 600ft though...

This thread is now about Blue Whales being awesome.
Scientist has proposed to send their nuclear waste into the Challenger Deep...
Buncha nit wits.
Yes, this actually is pretty cool.
I recently read a really really good fiction book (Meg by Steve Altan) about a Carcharodon Megalodon (massive predecessor of the great white shark) that surfaces from the depths of the Mariana Trench.
I'm going to read the follow up, The Trench, when I return home.

O hai!
WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW
Not just dead sure about this music, but the video is jam packed with the cool creatures that live in the deep.
I would sex all these deep sea creatures.
I would definitely sex that vampire squid!

i wonder if marianas trench is named after one of the scientists ex-girlfriends incredibly deep vag. it's like the earth's vagina.
Yes, the discoverer, Robert Quailfeather, named the discovery after his wife, Mariana, who had a certain medical condition called hypervaginopathy which cause her vagina to bypass her uterus and run the length of her body all the way to her throat. She died of starvation some time later.
i bet nessie is hiding down there
I just noticed the trench has a female name. I guess it makes sense when you think about it.
