Having trouble recording with my new mixer in Garage Band.

So I just got a new Numark 5000 fx mixer as an early christmas gift and I've overall been loving it but I can't seem to record in garage band for some odd reason(I could with my old mixer.

These are the types of equipment I posses.

Two cdj 800's
Numark 5000 fx mixer
Audio box USB(for recording).

Did you get it figured out? I don't own that mixer, but all I can think of is make sure you are using your master or booth out (if booth out, make sure to have the booth volume up), and then once plugged into your laptop, check your sound in preferences and make sure your computer recognizes your USB device. Other than that, would need to know exactly how you have it hooked up. Good luck!
