Couldn't find proper thread about these things, so let the bubbling begin now... I personally think that we "are not alone" but the thing is that we have to solve our problems - "they" are not coming to help us.

Let see what we get from Wikileaks. Assange has said that there will also be doc's about ufo's.

I love unsolved mysteries and odd occurences, although I wouldn't say we live in an 'age of reason', it seems like the world of the supernatural becomes smaller and smaller as we realize rare optical anomalies and what are probably just freaks of evolution, etc. But still I think there will always persist a fraction of mankind (thankfully) that is willing to embrace the strangest of ideas and accept the most outrageous of circumstances; not because it's what makes the most sense, but because it satisfies his wildest curiosities of a world neither lorded by some deity, nor in any semblance of control by his fellow man.

The London Telegraph highlights some of the more extravagant sightings and encounters, including one in 1995 where a man came into contact with a giant extraterrestrial who had size 440 feet, was 4,000 feet tall and was named Dead Old Dad. The alien allegedly told the man: �You will remain in hydrogen form for 150 years. Then it will change to sodium.�
Majority of the cases were much of the same. Most of the witnesses say they saw a round, oval-shaped object in the sky with bright coloured lights.
�If you look at the reports, obviously some of them are highly questionable, but others are written very genuinely. People definitely see things that are unexplained,� said Defence Force spokesperson commander Phil Bradshaw, reports the Toronto Sun.

As we become more technologically advanced and our understanding of the cosmos improves, the more it is realized that it is extremely unlikely that this planet has ever nor will it ever be visited by aliens. Further, should we voyage out into the galaxy in search of intelligent life, we will probably never find any, even though the galaxy is likely teeming with it.
