Holiday Texts/BBMs

Whats the etiquette on holiday texts/BBMs? If I get a mass text from someone with holiday wishes, I generally dont reply. You shouldnt be sending out a mass text and expecting an individual reply. But if someone messages me individually, I will reply to them.

How do you guys handle this?

Sincere ppl get sincere replies and mass SMS msgs get template reply.

My standard reply is same to you and yours...

i don't send mass messages except to my sales team at work as what i had to say was meant to be said to the entire group.

It is impossible to send an individual message to everyone who deserves it however I do the best I can. Those that don't get a message is probably because I didn't think to send one. No hard feelings are intentioned.

Sincerity is essential in this world and unfortunately too much of it has disappeared in recent times.

You also just combo a template in, change the person's name.

Reply to individual msg:
Thanks, I salute you with a great Christmas as well. Best wishes to you, your family and all your loved ones. Hope you get everything you wanted plus even more, as you deserve. If I don't get the chance to speak with you before New Years, have a great one of those as well. Take care, be safe, see you soon.

Reply to mass msgs:
Fuck you I converted to Islam.

There's an etiquette?
I reply if I feel like it, and don't if I don't. Just because you don't reply to someone's text, or even send a Christmas card in the mail, doesn't mean you wish a person poorly on Christmas!

Yeah, I agree. I mean, if you send someone a text, you don't expect a reply right away or ever since they are probably with family and not on their phone.

If i have time I reply. I like getting the messages tho, even if they are a canned message.

I'm guilty of sending mass texts on christmas. And I get my fair share as well. I don't send them expecting a reply. If I get one, that's nice. And sometimes it will spark conversation. Either way, I send the message to people I care about. I'd rather send a small msg sending Christmas cheer than sit there ignoring my family for an hour while I type out individual texts that essentially say the same thing.
