best place to stay at in south beach...

so my friends and i are starting to plan our trip to miami/south beach in july..and briefly looking at cost vs luxury...grand beach hotel seems to fit the bill.

what do you guys think about that place? are there any other hotels with the same price range that you would recommend over grand beach hotel?

any help will be greatly appreciated.
