That over-used four letter word....
...LOVE!
What exactly is love, and why does it have to be so painful?
I guess the real question I want to ask is what's worse, the pain of staying with the one you love or the pain of leaving the one you love?
I'm in a very bad situation right now, and I need some advice from whoever wants to offer it. I've been going out with my gf for a year and a half, and now it feels like we're just friends. we grew apart gradually. Last night we had a long talk, and we came to the conclusion that we just have different priorities b/c she's 2 years older than me. I'm just finished high school, working a dead end homer simpson job, trying to figure out what to do with my life while she's done college, working, and going back to college for extra courses in september. Basically I'm at the point where she was when we started going out and she's ready for the next step. I love her a lot and I know she loves me too, but we just can't stay together if we both aren't going to be happy. So as of now we are on a "break". It hurts so much letting her go, but it also hurts seeing how i'm holding her back from goals that she has for both of us. I'm going to meet up with her tomarrow to talk about all this, but I don't know what's going to end up happening. I'd do anything for her, but I can't suddenly skip 2 years of my life just to catch up with her so I'm pretty sure that it's over. Pls give me opinions on this.
well...you have two choices...
1) seperate from her now before it gets messy, but you'll have to recooperate from that and it will be tough for a while.
2) try to "work it out", but in the end the complications will lead to bitter arguments and you'll end up seperating anyways.
i'd pick the first one, and try to do as much fun shit as possible to nurse your wounds. (hang out with the guys, party, u know)
it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
and it would really suck if you tried to hold on to a love you can't obtain. that's the worst. going to that is bad news.

i once read this, and i think its a bit cheesy, but here goes
"the pain of love is the pain of being alive. it is an eternal wound."

Re: That over-used four letter word....
just watch American Pie
I got another cheesy one :
Life's the pain
Love's the gain!
i think someone shud whip out that "this thread is gay" pic. OH yea american Pie rules!!!!! and so does the sequel
why is this thread "gay"?
This fellow needs some help and is asking legitimate questions.
I just wanna say that if you do break up, remember that everything in life has its pluses and minuses, and being single has its advantages, too -- and many of them. Look forward to new relationships and your youth.
Hense why i use the 3 letter word...... LUV... cuz it's not Full love.. and i dont have to feel like i'm over useing love..
beacuse i'll use love when i truley mean it.. and luv.. when it's just luv..
