Those glowing suits and helmets for their encore, and the way they were revealed, was the coolest!

I just think it's great how they've dodged being swarmed by fans when they walk down the street while being massive stars. Plus, if they can't make it to a show, just pop anyone else in the suit and the show goes on. Very smart move.

wouldn't it be funny if these guys never went on tour, they just had dudes wear those helmets...

Just like Daft Punk sampled many of their hits from classic disco, soul, funk and rock tracks, their helmets idea is not original. I am trying to find this one 1970s underground disco album, forgot the name unfortunately, its obscure, French underground disco, with a futuristic looking helmet on the cover that resembles Daft Punk's helmet.

Too much disco to go through to find it.

straight up, dance music is all about sampling + re-inventing... these guys are pioneers on so many levels I don't even know why I'm taking the effort to reply to your post lol

and no, they likely didn't invent costume + performance art... (nor robots, nor science fiction) lol

^^^^ Well said!

They're the "gateway drug" of EDM and have helped get tons of people into it.
