NYE 2011 reviews... what did everyone do?

so many ridiculous party's last night... downtown was a mess!

Being in Mel Lastman's square.
There was nothing! No MC no fireworks! OMG.
Just bunch of people gathered together and screamed!

stayed home and went to bed at 11 lol

Couldnt be bothered going out this year....and considering the options....i think it was a wise choice

went to Tappo. it was awesome. big time sloppy. tunes were top notch.....dont know if tappo knew what hit them

the sound was good imo.....didn't notice any b2b but im prob the wrong person to ask, lol. i also enjoyed the fact that it wasnt overly crowded....very comfortable....getting a drink was np (usually a big pain in the ass nye)

Was good to see a lot of friends. I think I finally caught up with most of my TA friends now. (except you jon. rumours say you smell )

Tappo was fine... once the dinner tables got cleared for some dance space. Some looks on diners who stayed for a while was like, wtf is going on here? Hilarious. Also some older generation boogying out to digdeep tunes. Sound system was fine and well tuned. No ringing this morning and I don't recall ever thinking the sound was too loud or too quiet. Line up for drinks got hectic a little, but not unbearable considering NYE. Had some Krombacher which is awesome and you won't find that at many places.

I think a little better organization from Tappo staff would be nice for next time. Seriously we should do this every NYE. Hanging out with TA friends at an intimate venue with good tunes. Awesome.

PS: The guy in wheelchair who picked up a cutie, you are the champ and I salute you

Totally loved the FW vibe... Solid sets all around, but I really enjoyed Barato's set.

Wish I coulda stayed til close, but my ride had to be up early the next day!

NYE was whoa this year.

Went to Tappo after a pre-drink (and when you pre-drink with the crew that "pre-party harder than you party party", you know where that leads).

Then somehow we went to the Platform house party and thank goodness we made it in. Thanks to Alex and his crew for hosting such a jam. Had a great time there. So many funnies.

NYD was couch surfing like professionals.

I am trying to find the ball drop from NYC NYE. Anyone?

thank our lucky stars we didn't go to Avicii event
stayed in, food, desert, champagne - prob the nicest NYE to date

birthday celebrations commence tonight!
