Dunno NeYo - Beautiful Monster bass with Reason?

Any ideas how to re-create the awesome bass line of NeYo - Beautiful Monster with Reason/Record?

The loop/sample is here:

Or from Youtube:

That bass has nice bumbing eletric feel to it.

subtractor (1 saw + 1 square) -> 2x LP filters -> scream distortion. route env from subtractor to the filters with the matrix and adjust freq and res. or you could use the rebirth refill and use the 303 sounds from there.

Thank you!
I will try those tips!

But do you know how the bass line goes?
I mean the rhythm of it?
I was thinking it goes something like this, but it sounds wrong:
b-bbb-bbb-bbb-bb
k---k---k---k---

i cant really help on the actual pattern without just doing it myself and frankly i dont bother doing that but it would probably take me 5 minutes. play it slower and u might hear it better what notes are actually played when. if u dont manage to replicate an easy pattern as that im sorry to tell you that u lack talent to this game. not trying to be an ass, just telling the truth.

Thats a classic tb303 sound as heard on the opening scene of blade from 1997 - almost the exact sound.

Many synths have this preset.

To get it real good you need the right kind of distortion.

I wouldn't bother though as it's in a ton of edm tunes and is somewhat cliche. I realise a fender guitar is in tons of tunes and that is not a reason not to use one but the differnce is a guitart player can make his work much more indivdual than some bod playing a 303 sound hence why guitar sounds on balance don't suffer the 'preset cliche' label.

Wow, what an awful track... and sorry dude, that's not an awesome bassline. That sound was cool when it first came out.

Acid is always cool.

Shithouse top 40 using acid is just disrespectful.

learn to read. he is using reason. it doesnt support vst. his options are samples (rebirth refill) or subtractor to make a 303 sound. malstroem and thor does not make good 303 sounds.
