WOW, that place is awesome.

That seems strangely under-priced to me...

I guessing it's because of only having 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. Most 5000 plus sq foot houses have 5 or 6 bedrooms around here.

But that aside the house does look bad ass except for the master bathroom. And the area it's located in is a wealthy wooded area just north of Chicago.

or they are hoping for higher bids.

Thats because it doesnt include the price of the car. 1.5 mil for the house, another 10 or so for the car, thats where they get you.

From Wiki

quote:
At the time of filming, the original 250 GT California model was worth $350,000.[5] Since the release of the film, it has become one of the most expensive cars ever sold, going at auction in 2008 for $10,976,000.

If youre looking for a more expensive ferrari, theres the 250 GTO that goes for around 15 mil at auctions and thats about it THe GT California is one of the most expensive cars in the world If you saw one for 40k it was probably a replica or the owner is immensly stupid and doesnt know what he has in his garage in which case you should immediately buy it for 40k, sell it and transfer 10% of the profits to me as my commision for alerting you on the easiet way to turn 40k into 10 mil in the world

You're mixing up Magnum PI with Ferris Bueller.

I know it moves for the pornstache but come on.

I know the area. Just seems to me that a 5500 sqf designer house on that type of lot should be quite a bit more, even after devaluing it for the fame. Even down here, that's a mid-range price for a run-of-the-mill custom build that size on a 1-2 acre lot.

Posted by shaw on Jan-05-2011 20:38:

nvm. Somehow I got it in my head that it was on a much bigger lot than that. Doesn't seem all that far off, then. That picture did its job.
