Vestax Quadraphonic Mixer

Has anyone ever used this mixer:

It's quadraphonic, you set it up with 2 identical amps and 4 speakers, and then you can use a joystick to control where each sound source goes to.

I think it would be awesome for mixing with, you could have one tracks bass going around the room one way, and then get another tracks high hats going the other way, all in a 4 beat pattern of course..

anyway, i think it would be neat, it's pretty expensive though, as much as a pioneer DJM500, and it's only 2 channels.

Has anyone here got one?

this is most defenitely a scratch mixer
it's even made by the ISP crew ( which does not exist anymore btw )

this mixer is an extension of the everlasting PMC 07 PRO ...

one of the best scratch mixers out there

because the curve of the cross is ajustable I'm sure you could use it to mix and be super happy

the sound on these mixers are great

and with that quadraphonic feature you're in for a treat if you get to use it

and I don't know of other mixers how do that quadraphonic

What *I* would want is an Ambisonic mixer, with some kind of 3D, digital, spherical control... (maybe just a really jacked out joystick with a bunch of knobs, or two joysticks...) that would let you place a sound, or a group of sounds, *ANYWHERE*, with at least four properly set up speakers.... and you can add as many speakers as you want...

That would soooo kickass....

Hmmmm.... Ambisonic is a recording technique as well as a way to place and position speakers... maybe just a 'normal' way of doing 3D sound with any given number of speakers, like A3D or Sensaura or something...
