A Balair [Fl studio + Drum loops?!]
A Balair by TheTA
That's right...this was made in FL 9XXL. It's currently un-mastered...My idea of a dancy tune, I quite like it.
Just pulled it off my ipod as I've been listening the shit out of it and thought it was finally time to share. It was based around a tasty drumloop I found in FL8 called Bounce_128 (or something like that)
The bass saw and lead were built from an init patch on sylenth1, go me.
My one qualm is @ 3:55...I don't think the bass saw should hit there, and should be delayed for 16 bars. Curious as to what others think.
Your feedback is most welcome, whether it be the mix (download it) or the entity itself. (Hats might be a bit harsh, as it was mixed almost exclusively on my Beyers, and they seem to be a scoche dull in the highs)
And the electric Toms are there to stay, sorry Eddie, I was compelled to use the entire drumloop :P.
Kinda frustrated really.
There's some pretty decent melodic ideas in there (especially that pluck that comes in at around 2.30) but the bottom end is almost completely smothered. I think it's a monitoring issue. I seem to remember making similar comments on your tracks a while back?
Kudos for teh init patch synth programming too!
Moooooniittttoooorrrs!

It's just got that Fruity Loops stamp all over it. Doesn't really make for enjoyable production. The ideas are cool, though.

Maybe I just need to be outputting 16-bit 128's instead of 32-bit 320's if people don't care to d/l it...Or simply find a site to link so people don't have the option to stream. I wholeheartedly feel that commenting on a mix from a soundcloud stream is pointless.
Downloaded and listened
I still think the bottom end is smothered.

I've been using PC speakers for the past few months, and the mixing sounds pleasant enough to me. But I'm not the right person for criticising a mix.
The melodic content is what grabs me, but perhaps a little more variation would help fuel my interest further. For what it's worth, I've always enjoyed your melodies.
Keep improving, I'll always be listening

The mix sounds no good, the composition is very very interesting BUT, only but there is missing a hook, I feel like there is missing a verse chorus structure. I would work on that and then, put all faders down and start again.
Even though very good work so far, there is potential in this track!!
just my personal opinion.

I wouldnt think it as "complicating" the lead but to add variations.
looking forward to next version!
