copying the MIDI into synth presets, and laying on fruity loops drums on the typical Kick-open hat-Snare open hat, and adding some clashing elements in an octave/frequency range that's already being used by the main melody. not much of a production?

wow im sorry but a more ignorant, idiotic, and pompous response I have never heard. First of all the midi your referring to i had to create myself based off sheet music and ear which took a long time, and that was just 1 melody out of many in this song. second i didnt use any fruity loop drums, i used VEC drums that i modified and the "typical" rhytymn that i used i happen to like, and it is used in almost all songs nowadays so i dont see why that is a negative...humans like certain rhytymn which is why rhytymn isn't as flexible as a melody. Even if my production was absolute garbage which I know it isn't you shouldn't be wasting ur troll life posting insults, instead spend it helping other people by telling them what you think they should be changing and how not your sub-human unprovoked opinion. tbh its my fault for posting house in a trance forum, trance listeners seem to be pompous as fuck while house ppl seem to be drugged up assholes...have a great troll life

maybe next time before you get your britches twisted up your arse, what you should say before you want feedback on your track is: "tell me what you think, but make sure its nice and doesn't hurt my feelings".

first of all, if you had any experience on this forum you would realize that in the music producers area, hardly anyone produces actual trance. it is a collective of producers of electronic music who share ideas, techniques, and give feedback.

secondly, you have different synths/voices all playing the same MIDI line, the main melody from Feel Good Inc. the clashing i mentioned does indeed exist during your attempt to offer your own counter point to the main melody. it's just not very musical. there's no groove or drive to the track, the "sound design" if you want to call it that is very dry and uninspiring.

maybe you should stop going around showing your music to people who will be nice to you about what they think of it, and try to get some actual honest, non-appeasing feedback if i'm the first person to tell you this is rather boring and non musical.

and please, don't call this "house". also a further recommendation would be to install spell check, so when you do appear on some forum calling someone who has been contributing for 5 years subhuman, you will seem like an imbecile -- but at least you don't have to seem like an imbecile who also cannot spell.

The track doesn't have a groove. It's just a bunch of noise. The counter melodies sound quite messy stacked on top of everything else and the track has no flow.

It lacks any sort of cohesiveness and the sound selection is extremely bad. Nothing fits together or has any sort of form, it just sounds like you haphazardly threw some synths on top of each other without actually thinking "this will sound good here!"

The mixdown is very, very, VERY off. Everything is just a giant, muddy wall of sound.

Sorry man, but keep working, the only way to get better is to just... produce. Train your ears.
