Does anyone know any popular NYC spots for a wednesday night?

A friend of mine will be in town for only 1 night (wednesday night) and was hoping TA could give me any ideas on popular hott spots to hit with a bit of life in them on a wednesday night?

I should mention, a bar/lounge atmosphere with drinks and good music, and if there is such a thing, maybe even people dancing on a wednesday night...

cielo has 'roots' every wednedsay night it looks like. i've never been so idk what it's like but i'm sure somebody here has and could tell you.

Enjoy or barhop, check RA Events. Something should be listed there as well.

If you like techno, check out Karma on 1st ave bet 3rd and 4th sts, one of the best locals parties IMO.

They do a techno happy hour starting at 5 pm and then they move the party to the basement until 4 am. One of the 7 places left in the city where smoking is permitted too because they have had a cig vending machine forever

Roots is a good party, haven't been back to Cielo on Wednesday since I met my husband though.
