Ultra in 2012

From what i heard :

Ultra Festival wont be around in 2012 ?

Bicentennial Park is being made into a Museum

If this is true the ppl who just went ahead and supported Ultra rather than WMC may have just made sure that we have nothing in 2012 in Miami at all ?

there has been nothing official stated about it. everything is rumor and speculation. i highly doubt a huge festival (as crappy as it is) is just going to go up in smoke because they are losing a dirt field. my guess is the location will just be changed, which has happened twice before mind you.

now that you have an answer, is there anyway you can delete this thread? its not in the correct section and it only clutters the forum up. we have a wmc/umf forum located here: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...?s=&forumid=127 and it contains a thread about ultra here: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...forumid=127&s=0 in which your question could of been asked and answered.

Please do not delete this thread .. it is in the correct place as its for Florida in 2012 not this years Ultra forum .

Allegedly City Bosses have said that the event is not allowed back on the beach and as far as im aware wont be granted a license with the city limits of Miami.

If this is true.. like i said in the above thread , Ultra has just had a one hell of a send off and WMC has been left to the dogs.

in 2012 if Ultra cant get a site and WMC has suffered a very bad turn out maybe we have seen the end of WMC/Ultra as we know it..

I think people should have stood up and been bigger supporters of WMC , this event is about the progress and the longevity of Electronic Music and it seems greed and selfishness has taken over.

Bottom line Ultra = $$$ for Miami, I am sure they like $$$ like any other city and rather put up with things for a few days for the income that flies in. Its just my opinion.

Full 2011 details are not even out and we are guessing about 2012.

because nobody likes the umf <- vs -> wmc game.

the people who travel around the world to come for the wmc week just need this information 6months in adavance. Booking flights, hotels ... all these things, which costs a lot of money.

So umf should stop their exclusive booking.

But if UMF wants to have all their dj's for this event alone, then fine. But then they should not complain, that wmc escapes from this game and changes the dates.

My WMC trip in march this year, I booked in Summer 2010 - because AirBerlin had a fantastic offer. So for me, it was a shock, WMC will not take place, when I will be there.

Sure, kind of my own fault, booking that early.

this is a fun topic though.

ultra has changed locations twice before, but because of attendees- Pat, you and I live in Miami. I can't think of another place here that can hold 100k people at one time.

Maybe Ft. Lauderdale? -Even so, the venue outlook (ocean, etc) isn't as nice.

Ultra should move to another state... Hawaii! It be awesome on Oahu! Partying inside of Diamond Head would be spectacular or Kakaako Waterfront Park which is 35 acres (practically the same size of the current venue in Miami).
