How much money would you turn down ?
I was offered 20 000 for the rights to a track for a well known pop artist and had to decline because it was for my girlfriend and she would of seriously killed me despite the fact she doesn't want to sing pop right now because she is doing a run of an opera. Money aint a thing right ? fuckin bitches. Anyways, I wish I recorded the conference call. I put the "star" on hold to get a new beer and let this fat german talk to her and her manger while I went to refill. The funny part is that they seem to dig that sort of dickheadish attitude although for me was not intentional , i just really wanted a beer and I lack the social graces of most. Honestly, these people are nuts.
Anywyas, its like 8 am and me and this fat german are drinking this awful peach liquor making fun of polish people/ . Fucking polish people. Honestly, what the hell is there deal.
I turned down $32 once that a label tried to force down my throat for a song that they signed. Well, I didn't really turn it down so much as I gave it all to the singer.
Aside from that, I'd never turn down any money.....cuz I'm a musical whore. Even if I had written a song for one of my girlfriends....or even my wife for that matter
....I'd sell it off to the highest bidder just to put her in her place.
Please don't tell my wife or my girlfriends about this post
i'm a whore in every way but my girlfriend is pretty much my lifeline to everything so whatever she says goes. Besides once my parents croak, unless i'm out of the will which might be possible, i'm a millionaire so money is not really a concern. That doesn't mean i'm a spoiled dick head. I had a paper root when I was like in grade 3. I was too shy to get the money so I worked pretty much for free.
20 thousand is 20 thousand I would have happily killed my own wife (that I don't have) for half that.
Something is not right about that though wtf would either of you lost? The rights? So what. Tell her you'll make a new one if it matters that much.
a hundred thousand..
btw you sound whipped.

lmfao funny thread making me laugh
I was offered 2000 for a pop track I produced which was very cheesey. The guys came in person to me and I think had the cash onj him.
This was before I realised what a lucky strike that was, so I turned it down thinking I would get a better offer, which never came
Now it sounds like old Eurocheese even more than it did back then so it's a dead project.
That better be the hottest bitch on the planet. Not because you would turn down 20 grand for her, but because you're willing to put up with someone who would let you turn down 20 grand for her.

LOL!!
I <3 M4B!!
That little prick is hilarious!
Actually Richard Butler just reminded me of when I was offered $400 6 years ago on soundclick by a dj claiming he wanted exclusive rights to one of my tracks.
It was with out a doubt one of the best tracks I had made at that time. At first I thought the dj was joking or messaged the wrong person but I quickly came to believe "well it is a good track maybe he's serious".
And about 5 mins after that I thought "what if someone would be willing to pay more... like 10million!!!?". The thought of turning him down did cross my mind at that point, but then I realized how fuckn cool would it be to tell my friends I sold a track for $400. So I didn't turn him down, and messaged him back that it was a deal.
Then it took me about 8 weeks to realize he really must have made a mistake, like I originally thought, because he never messaged again. And so there went my potential career of becoming a superstar trance machine bigger than tiesto.
you people are insane for turning down money. I'm about to sell my mac mini just so I can eat tomorrow. Back to producing w/ the G4 I guess
no shit. IT is pretty fucking obvious he just wants to showboat. He does sound rather cool and talented tho.
I disagree about the cool part but I suppose one demented gerbil on crack might say hes talented.
He also regresses intellectually quite like a teenage bimbo in the presence of a sexy man like myself, which is why I do him a favor by leaving my shirtless pics off the forum. Otherwise he will start rambling incoherent nonsense like atx does when hes drunk.
I once was commisioned for a track. I said i wanted a 1500 NOK retainer. or about $200ish. Not exactly sure on the exchange rate back then.. Got the cash in my pocket and didnt think about it until two days before deadline. i delivered one of my worst tracks to date and I really didnt care. It felt nice.
I think I may have delivered it too late also... Cant really remember. LOOOTS of drugs going on back then. Good thing I've now become intelligent and understand that such behaviour is counter-productive :P
