Netbook recommendations?

I really don't want something too expensive. I really need something to organize my life. Something small. Ipad would be nice but I am not a hipster and I am broke.

I have a lot on my plate with school and internship. I have a caseload of x# amount of people and need to write logs of what I do daily. I need to write notes for each individual that I see along with any groups that I run (2 a day)- blah blah blah.

Also - school is starting soon. A calendar (to set up appointments with clients) and virtual notepad would be nice and something not too heavy. I hate writing ;x

Does anyone else do this to sort of thing to organize their life?

Thanks.

Whatever you get, upgrade it to 2GB of RAM if it doesn't already have it, otherwise it'll be SLOW. Anything with just 1GB of RAM is soooo 2004.

laps are so big. I just need to make a few quick notes while @ my internship and tag along for maybe school. Not going to write my essay there or anything serious. It needs to be easy, light and on the go

checking now the NEC one - thanks

I got a Dell netbook. It works great, with 2GB of RAM of course.

Mel, please don't tell me you bought the NEC.

i think this is the new version of the hp netbook i have, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...7-464-_-Product
it works a lot better than my current full sized laptop and it is very durable.

On a serious note, though, Mel, just wait for the iPad2. It'll be out in the next couple months. Nobody will think you're a hipster [because of that] and that gives you some time to set the cash aside.

I agree with this. Netbooks are primarily for surfing the web and are also good for ebooks. But for making notes, saving documents, and that kind of stuff, it will be a lot easier on a small laptop.

Shaw - no. I couldn't find any lol.

Umm.. I am not really going to 'save docs' unless you consider saving notes in a notepad type of file.

I really need it for organizing - most importantly. I have a planner but it is a bit too small and limited.

Ipads are so expensive!!!!!! I just can't even think of spending that much money on something haha. Even if it comes out AFTER I graduate and have a much better paying job since right now interning full time = FREE

edit// oo and I have a shitty cell phone lol

Mel, I'd go cheap laptop too. Every net book I've used is like a laptop from 8 years ago. Doesn't do anything really well.

But if you do go net book, def upgrade the RAM like everyone else is saying.
