Eastern Hands Up!

(not sure where else to post this)

Well just wondering if there is much of a following in any part of The Maritimes for Eurodance/Hands Up! Music?, and whether there is ever an opportunity to get out on the dancefloor to it?

also please let me know if there would be a demand for this sort of thing in The Maritimes. thanks ahead of time.

#1 I'd post it under Montreal since it's 6 hours closer to the Maritimes than Toronto.

#2 WTF is "Eurodance/Hands Up! Music"? Just say EDM (Electronic Dance Music) dude.

#3 I've seen big names have tour dates in Halifax so I'm guessing there's a bit of a scene and demand out there, mostly the university kids I'd imagine. But if you're in Halifax, why are you asking people a 20 hour drive away what is big in Halifax?

#4 I feel as if this post was so dumb it must be a trap and I'm not sure what the trap is. But I also feel as though I just fell for it by responding. Ahh well...

I'm not sure what Hands Up is but Eurodance is a genre, it's stuff like N-Trance. AFAIK Eurodance isn't really popular anywhere in North America. Certainly not enough for there to be any kind of regular way of catching any. I know in Ottawa you can catch the odd set of it (and I mean maybe once a year... maybe) at some 16+ raves. I doubt if the Maritimes are any different.

eurodance was huge in toronto back in the 90s but it slowly faded away. in the early 2000's the eurodance scene started getting LOTS of trance influence but then disappeared. i guess trance is the new eurodance.

Euro is an actual genre. It sounds like a mash of unicorns, Disney animated movies and Care Bears sweetened with both aspartame and sucralose, served as cotton candy. It is so saccharine that exposure to even one set of it immediately causes type-2 diabetes in the listener.

I have a hunch the OP is probably the lone flag bearer for Euro supremacy in Upper Mosquodoboit. Just keep raising your hands in the air, Tune_Blasta (and taking those insulin shots) - someone will surely heed your call.

Cool thanks for the Replies to the post, I am noob to this forum if it didn't show already, ahhh for starters not a trap... and Hands up... look for artists such as Rob Mayth, Rocco Vs. Bass-T, Brooklyn Bounce Its very Synth driven, lots of heavy chords and bass melodic yet very positive vibe, lots of energy =3
