| The brother-in-law of Tunisia's ousted dictator is seeking to stay in Canada as a refugee, Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said Saturday. I understand that there has been a request for refugee status, Mr. Cannon said during an appearance on CBC Newsworld. A refugee claim could block government efforts to get Belhassen Trabelsi out of the country and produce years of legal wrangling. |
Is the brother in law a bad guy too??
I don't think your tax dollars have to do anything with this prick. If he gets to stay in Canada, he will have to pay for everything out of his own pocket because he would not qualify to get any financial assistance from Canadian government. His foreign bank accounts are estimated to be around 80 million dollars.
On another note, Canada is not the only country which gives political assylum to pricks like him from another country. Altaf Hussain from Pakistan has been in UK for last 17 some years.
But yeah i do agree with you that people who have serious allegations against them should not be given assylum because if it was a normal person and not a political figure seeking assylum and the Canadian government found out that he is wanted in his country for any reason, the refugee claim would be rejected in a heartbeat.
what about the 500 Tamils that landed on a boat last year that our govt is spending several millions of our taxpaying dollars to support for a year?
