tips on making deep s/c basslines? ie coldharbour styled basslines

so i'm working on this remix and i can't seem to get a decent bassline going on that's similar to those tracks from the coldharbour prog trance style.

i feel like it's not as clean or as strong as it should be. any tips people?

I feel fine remix.mp3 4 by BryantFC

What reverb did you use? It sounds like the same verb used on every other trance track and I've never asked.

it's no reverb, i think it has to do with phasing :[. i turned off all the delays and reverbs on the synths themselves as well.

and thanks Lunar, though i still feel like it's missing something. maybe pads?

Take a lead with the osc set to 4ths, and octave it WAY down into bass territory. See how that works out for ya.

A small percussive synth to quietly accompany the bass side chain stuff might give it slightly more bite strength and clarity, but I wouldn't know for sure without trying.

It sounds very good as is though mate.

If you are using Sylenth i was once juggling with the Detroit lead using a c2-c3 bass i got a coldharbour style bassline
