Looks like this year is starting off well. Last year the first few months were dead. This year we have PVD, Sasha and Tiesto. I may not make it to any of them, but I like the way things are looking.

I'm guessing 3/30 is A&B.

5/6 could possibly be Swedish House Mafia??? Probably not.

SHM is probably at Opera actually, if they are coming. They'll be down in Miami the preceding weekend after all.

yeah, i was thinking it could be SHM, which would be incredible, but Axwell and Steve Angello were just here. Then again, I forget that A&B mostly performs in pairs, never really all 3. However, they just announced the Feb dates of their North American tour which make me think an Atlanta announcement is coming

devin - when are you going to be able to announce all the dates? your post on fb yesterday was pretty much a tease and nothing really big (in my opinion) was announced. a little over hyped for nothing (not trying to be rude, i have been a supporter of the atl scene for the past 9 years or so, but thought it was a bit of a game you played. if you knew there was a possibility you couldnt announce the names, don't hint at a big announcement).

Looking forward to this year.

In the next couple of days except for that March 30th show, that will come on Feb 8th. All the shows are confirmed but the agent involved in the ones we could not announce yesterday asked us to hold off a couple of days. They are definitely worth holding off a couple of days for.

I would venture to say 5/6 is SHM as well, when all three are together they require a ton of production and Devin said that was going to be the venue he wanted known for insane production.

Opera is way to small for them as well. The only thing throwing me off is the wording, Huge @ Opera and only big @ the Quad

Posted by trancension on Feb-03-2011 18:17:

The Quad isn't that big though. I'm not even sure if it's bigger than Opera. It might be able to get more production equipment though.

i could be wrong. I hope its not at Opera, in my opinion a SHM show show be somewhere like the tabby or earthlink live if not somewhere bigger.

They are pulling huge numbers now a days and sold out massive events in seconds in the europe. The show in miami for halloween drew 8000 people for just them. Their ibiza shows this year were all sold out in advance which is unheard of for Ibiza

Posted by trancension on Feb-03-2011 19:48:

Ya, I am not sure of the square feet // capacity and what not, but I'm pretty sure Opera and Quad are similar in size.

If Devin hadn't of said "Trance" when talking about the Tabby show, I would've assumed it was SHM there since the Tabernacle and makes the most sense for them.

You got me interested in Gaslamp Killer. Surprising artist for you to bring in.

I dont think SHM is a huge name in the Atlanta scene yet, so i don't think you really need the largest venue. Axwell's show wasn't that crowded in Nov (I didn't go to the other show in Dec), and I believe a lot of people there didn't even know who he was/buy tickets in advance.

Posted by kckar on Feb-04-2011 00:46:

a friend of mine said the tiesto show at opera is capped at 1000 people. any clue on capacity last time tiesto was at opera? it seemed quite tight.

and before anyone mocks, yes i am still considering going to tiesto. i know he isn't the tiesto of old, but i have a hard time passing up on someone who got me into trance 10 years ago. a couple of times he breaks out "old tiesto" and life is awesome

Posted by RyanVice on Feb-04-2011 02:08:

What are the odds this thing sells out quickly??

Posted by ZeeRobot1 on Feb-04-2011 02:21:

it will prob sell out very quick but im not paying more than 15 bucks to hear him pump out garbage like this in opera.

Posted by idoru on Feb-04-2011 02:51:

That's one of the funniest promo photos I've seen.

well tickets have only been on sale for a little over 4 hours and the first 4 tiers of tickets have sold out already! http://www.wantickets.com/liquified

On another note do we actually have a discussion going on the atlanta portion of TA?

it seems that way. it had been a while. you have caused some excitement with your anticipated announcement.

Posted by Quazar on Feb-05-2011 01:38:

Yeah, my friends back in ATL were extremely disappointed with Liquified in 2010 and were about ready to just give up, but the announcement of some big trance acts has them excited again, especially since not everything is at Opera. My friends basically just want to see either Above & Beyond, Ferry, or Markus Schulz and they'll be happy. They're probably going to Sasha, as well, since it's not at Opera. Good job, Devin!

P.S. Tell your LA peeps to bring Sasha to Avalon.

Posted by trancension on Feb-05-2011 02:18:

2010 wasn't that bad really. It was maybe a little less slower than previous years...
