TRANCE ON MY FRIENDS

Posted by TBA on Aug-06-2002 12:56:

Yes I did see it. It's definitly worth watching but I prefered Human Traffic.

Posted by Ves on Aug-06-2002 13:00:

Now that sounds like a good movie! AND it even features a cross dressing dj... how can I resist?! harharhar... I'll look out for it next time I rent some movies.

That reminds me, I am yet to see Human Traffic.

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Aug-06-2002 13:07:

Well that's a shame ves cos if you don't see it you'll never become aquainted with talent like "the itchy trigger finger n1ggers"

Posted by webmeister on Aug-06-2002 13:45:

The itchy what?

Will look out for that one...

Posted by TranceNET on Aug-06-2002 22:10:

I havn't seen it but i will try rent it soon

What? You haven't seen Human Traffic? Where have you been the past 3 or 4 years. It's a classic! What did you think every idiot was yelling Nice One Bruvver at the top of his voice everytime you've been out was talking about?(Apologies if anyone on here has done it, i certainly did a few times.)

I just got the trance energy dvd from amazon after a couple of month wait. Audio side a and the dvd on side b. I only got 5 minutes to look at it before work today but holy shit that is one party i would have liked to go to. And it was obviously filmed by a bunch of horny men cause there is about 1 million tit close ups of chicks. Check it out.

Holy shit, tits and trance - definitely one of my favourites combos!

Nervous dude, wouldya be able to tell us some shit bout the DVD, such as how long it took for it to get to you and total cost of bring it over. Cheers.

Anywayz, back to the topic, Sorted is a very fine movie indeed, i rank it tops amongst the other flicks of this genre - but only just over Human Traffic because the story was just that more intriguing.

Also the tunes are top-notch, the classics previously mentioned as well some other obscure tracks.

Thats my penny's worth anyway but i recommend you check it out for yourself.

Yeeeeeeeee.... Sorted was mad!!! I have yet to see Human Traffic too. Beside Go, Groove and Trainspotting, are there any other movies with a similar sort of style?

Posted by TBA on Aug-07-2002 02:42:

Hopefully One Fine Day will be out reasonably soon. Has anyone heard any news on that front?
There is a DVD I'm VERY keen to get my hands on called Modulations. It's more of a doco featuring interviews with DJ's and producers like Carl Cox, Orbital Future Sound of London, Moby, Derrick May etc. I've only seen the preview. Has anyone seen the whole thing.

Jester

Groove is pretty lame compared to human traffic...

another funny movie of this genre is "kevin & perry go large"... uk toilet humour... you just have to laugh..

Heh.

I went to a lot of trouble at the PVD set to get myself in front of the cameras and dance like a wanker for them, so I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't make it into the film.

Although I reckon those of you who were up the front (i.e. stipsy, Phil, Helen etc) have a pretty good chance of making it on there. Just don't forget us when you become famous.

Oh, and the only two "rave" related movies worth considering are Go (for the story) and Human Traffic (which is an absolute pisser). Groove sucked balls apart from Diggers great acting, and I haven't seen Kevin and Perry yet, but it does look a bit silly....

Is it worth the $6 DVD hire?

Posted by Tranzmit on Aug-07-2002 06:33:

Man human traffic still rocks like nothing. The humour is just too much for me. I'll have to look out for sorted though.

Posted by Simon00 on Aug-07-2002 08:28:

i don't think kevin and perry is worth the $6 hire. But speaking of other music dvd's i have a few.

Nick Warren ibiza- fucking wicked dvd. Prog fans must have teamed up with some awesome visuals. Highlight Trisco-Musak other highlights vision of drug fucked europeans doing some of the worst cyalume spinning ive ever seen.I think it was put on the dvd to embarass them for the rest of their lives. 10/10. Cool interview with pvd.

Gu Global Transmission 00.1 more a doco about the gu guys but some cool interviews with sasha, tenaglia and dave seaman. 8/10

Better Living through circuitry- Good music with moby, crystal method carl cox etc etc. Another doco with lots of drug fucked americans this time.

Best dvd money can buy. Underworld-Everything everything. Wow wicked footage and some of my fav. tracks of all time live. Poms going ,mental banging off flares etc. 100/10. I'd recommend it to everyone especially underworld fans.

They are all great to put on, on a sunday.

Posted by Ves on Aug-07-2002 13:33:

I need to see these DVDs! Especially the GU Global Transmission one.

I thought Trainspotting was a great movie (excellent book too, Irvine Welsh is brilliant). Go was alright... I haven't seen Groove. Hmm, I haven't seen Kevin and Perry Go Large either, but my impression is that it will be similar to a Troma movie.

As you can see I don't watch many movies from this genre.

I've always wanted to see the Trance Energy 2002 DVD. I know i couldve ordered it but it was all in dutch, and probably too expensive as well. Anyone here have it??

Posted by shark on Aug-08-2002 23:57:

I got my copy of Trance Energy 2002 DVD from www.id-t.com - had a bit of help from a Dutch friend (from what I have seen the NLTKA's are usuually hapy to help with translations). Cost me AUD58.00 deleverred by airmail and took about a week. Downside is they only sell ergion 2, so you will need an all region DVD to play it. Apparently the version from Amazon USA is all region.
Havn't seen the visuals myself yet as I only got the player last week, and the friend who borrowed it is in Thailand for a month.
Excellent pre-party listening on the audio side tho (again no details till I get it back).
Wonder if they left any windows unlocked?

Posted by Philby on Aug-09-2002 04:46:

Argh
All this talk is making me want a DVD player!!
I guess I could just hire the videos though.
I haven't seen any of them, I saw the soundtrack for Human Traffic last night, looks alright. I'll have to save for a dvd player or PS2 now...
