Does anybody know the name of the track in the *second half* of SvD Part 3/7?

Fantastic uplifting trance tune, very 2006-2007 style. That track completely made my night; I was REALLY happy that he chose to play like this.

I also REALLY liked the way he mixed at 1:45 - 2:30 of that video.

Great videos yet again! Always look forward to these after events.

Nice videos Chris.

That hola hoop looks wicked. If that chick was working it better, the effect would have been pretty cool. Deko-ze looks like... well the only way he only knows how to look... outta control!

Yes... but the first video was near the beginning of the night, when your the freshest.

She does some neat stuff in the 2nd video. She's capable of some pretty crazy shit but probably not confident enough to attempt the crazy shit on the podium where the consequences of a failed attempt might be the hoop going flying and smacking somebody in the head.

Next time, if anybody walks up to her and tells her you're from TA and posting a video, I'm 100% willing to bet she'll go completely insane.

Thanks Kotsy!

Ive been wondering when I'd see videos from the back (Best View) for the lighting and especially the lasers. It seems the crowd at Beta want to be up close and front to the DJ rather than watch the DJ and the show provided along the side with it.

I think I need to make a goal to start meeting all the TA's that come to Beta, I cant make it out to weekend event since I never have one off. But if you guys ever need anything I can possibly do, feel free to ask. My lighting in trance is not the greatest... but i'm learning and getting better and working with the controller the best way I can till all is all fixed

A lot of this is probably the fault of the sound being suboptimal at the back. I like the spot at the back on the lower level above the 3 steps by the coat check because the sound is still good.

Also (I guess you have nothing to do with this), I feel like the DJ himself is suboptimally lit. It was hard to see Sander from the back. How could a guy like Armin ever play at Beta without a half-dozen white lights illuminating him? :P

I have some random questions for you:

Do you program the chases yourself or does somebody else do that?

Does the lighting computer get a sound feed? I know that this is sometimes looked down upon because of all the paranoia in the industry with unapproved recordings of DJ mixes floating around and all. It seemed like it was all running manually at Beta.

What in the hell happened at the start of Sander's encore in video 7? It seemed like the chanting started, then the lights matched the chanting, then sander mixed in to match the lights and chanting... did that actually happen?

I have a console for that, I can make it brighter, which I have been lately, it normally looks fine until the led screen comes on. We were experiementing what colours look best at first for videos and pictures. Now I'm working on the intensity. I don't know if you noticed last 2 songs I had it turned up and last song was pure white.

I'll try to have some answers for you

The chases are pre-programmed with the selection I choose, I have a 2 faders for speed one to control the DIMMER chase and one for COLOUR chase, I manually have to do them and guess, its midi so I can't lock
it down perfectly like a CDJ with pitch.

No Audio feed Involved. All ran manually.

Yes that actually happened lol, that was me? Didn't like it? I thought it was pretty dirty.

I was exhausted; I'd been hooping for 2 hours already (I got there at 10, this was at 12). Next time someone takes a video though, let me know, and I'll do some cooler stuff.

No, I thought it was AMAZING. Completely awesome. Very dirty indeed.

I didn't notice the change at the end. But yeah, good show, man. I think you do a really good job every time, and it's getting better every time as well. ^_^

Thx for the vids kotsy, can't wait to give them a proper look when I get home!

Goood

It wasn't in the video, at the end of the night haha. Thanks I think I am too, I can't wait to see me in 6 months what it'll look like.

The laser company are also making me a box for the colours of the laser, I'll have better/more colours, and also be able to dim the laser, instead of just on or off.

I'll hold you to that! I'm hoping to come there (with Ryan's permission of course) for Bad Boy Bill & Congorock and get some of your hula hoop skills on video if your there that night and have the hoop with you.

I'm not sure, but I've definitely heard it on one of his Identity Podcasts recently. Try checking the tracklists for the past few of those. He tends to put what he's currently playing at live shows into his podcasts for the most part.

I'll mark it in my calendar . I'll have my new minis by then too!!! *squeeeeel*

Also, try to catch me at the start of the night, when it's not crowded. I love to take over all the space right at the front, and move around, when I can. The podium is somewhat limited for what tricks I can do without risk of falling and injuring myself, or smacking a bunch of people in the head.
