De Klootzakken - Dominee Dimitri

Hi guys !

The ones from Holland or those who are old enough will remember the tune
De Klootzakken - Dominee Dimitri

Ive got a version of it on Thunderdome 7 & I think the tunes quite funny with all the dutch-yelling & stuff ;-)

Anyone of you who got more information if there are more versions than the one on Thunderdome or does anyone even have the Vinyl ?

Greetings

OTTO VAN DEN TOORN a.k.a. D.J. Automatic, Supermatic, Soul Patrol, Qualitatsschweine , etc. is very successful both as D.J. and producer.

Released via Rotterdam Records, he had a hit with "Alles naar de Kloote" - Euromasters, which was the first house record with more than 170 bpm. This was followed by "Dominee Dimitri" - Klootzakken (Kloote Records), which even led to a court case, as Otto sampled statements made by a clergyman, preaching that house music and the devil are one. The Dutch media (printed press, radio and tv) gave extensive reports on this case.

Furthermore, Otto is responsible for "Hooihouse" (Terrordrome), released through Mokum Records and the dance remake of J.J. Cale/Dillinger's "Cocaine" under the name of Soul Patrol (EMI), which was a big hit in Germany.

The success increased considerably with the dance act Quadrophonia, with whom he had one of the first actual house hits. A worldwide live tour followed.

...I always thought Quadrophonia consisted of Olivier Abbeloos, Lucien Foort and Patrick De Meyer (=T99-Lucien Foort)?

"This is Harmen Raveboer for Knol (=some kind of farmer word for horse) Radio. We are sitting here in the studio together with reverend DIMITRI! And we ask him: HEY DIMITRI what doese house music mean to you? Well, I can tell you just one thing about house music: it's making me completely mad no thy shall not house! OH MAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!"

...or something like that. It's not that easy to translate

The version of Thunderdome is censored so not interesting

The real version (stream):

Christian voice:" die rare capriolen die ze met die rare muziek uithalen, nou dan wordt je stapelgek, dat heeft de schepper van hemel en aarde nooit gewild
Terror voice:"ja hoooooooorrrrr"
Christian voice:"ik vind dat je van house af moet blijven het is vergif van het eerste soort"
Terror voice:"hondeeeeee"
Christian voice:"je wordt stapelgek van die harde muziek"
Terror voice: ach mannnnnn"
Other voice"Kom eens, ik heb nog een allerlaatste vraag: komen housers in de hemel?"
Christian voice:"nee nee tot dat ze zich bekeren en jesus christus..."

Free translation:

CV: those strange moves they make with the music makes you crazy, the creator of heaven and earth never wanted this
TV: as if!
CV: stay away from house its poison
TV: assho....
CV: the loud music makes you crazy
TV: oh man....
CV: come, last question: do gabbers go to heaven?
TV: only if they turn to God and obey jesus christ

The story of the track:

At ever big hardcore event christian groups tried to stop you going cause this gabber shit was music from hell...

I even got a video about this (ok more than 10...hehe)

These people were annoying but at the other hand you understand them a little or felt soory for them

dutch link: http://www.drugtext.nl/mirror/gabbe...tie/krant18.htm

the christians ('naar house') came with a bus to the parties to spread flyers.
