Massive FL Studio Automation Problem

I've harassed people on the Image-Line forums, scoured my sound drivers and FL Studio help files and gotten nowhere, so I've come to you with my question.

When I play one of my FL Studio projects, the play cursor is slightly ahead, visually, of the sound that should be playing at each instant where it appears. But, my automation fires immediately when the play cursor reaches it, so as a result the automation is firing early, or rather, my instrumentation is firing late.

I updated sound drivers last night to try to boost performance on a secondary setup I wanted to try, where I was experiencing underruns, but decided to go back to my old sound driver setup after when I couldn't get the new drivers to work properly and I think this may have something to do with it. However, I have not changed the old working setup in any way. The drivers haven't been touched, no settings have been changed, no hardware has been substituted, and yet now I seem to have this buffer issue. For the record, I don't get any underruns when running FL Studio on this first setup.

Any idea what's causing this gap between the sound being played and the play cursor being ahead of it and causing automation issues?

Do you have mastering plug-ins running?

Yeah, recently bought TRackS3, I have that on my Master Track as well as dblue.TapeStop.

I'll disable them.

Update with results. The FL people on here should be able to help out if that doesn't do the trick.

Don't sweat it. I've made the same mistake, myself.

problem solved, HIJACK

i can happily say that I havent encountered very few problems the last couple of years. The only thing is that sometimes FL freezes and it keeps playing whatever frame it's stuck on (like a continous beep/whatnot).
ANd it persists even if I close FLStudio, so only way to solve it is by rebooting the whole fucking thing. I thiiiink it might have something to do with my totally legal copy of subboombass,
cus it only happens on some tracks, and often at the same place in the song, and Im not sure but I thiiink subboombass might be the common denominator, but i cant remember every track it has happened to/on..

anyone know if this sounds plausible or have encountered similar problems?

Sounds very plausible to me, 95% of my FL Studio crashes are down to the same two synths every time lol, gets horribly annoying
