Syracuse, NY for work this week... what's good?
Gotta be in Syracuse this week for work, driving in Monday, leaving Friday.
Going to be at the Parkview Hotel on E Genesse and working around South Salina St...
Not really looking for full on clubs or anything, work is early in the morning. But good pubs, restaurants, lounges etc..
Suggestions on things to do, must see places, cool things in Syracuse.
And what's the best place to get your grub on, it's all expensed, so $$$ is not an issue!
Pastabilities for pasta
Dinosaur BBQ
Sakayana (i think thats how you spell it) conveyor belt sushi but on Tuesday it's half price-mad good and you stack plates
And for sure go to harry's bar and grill on marshal st for the sorostitutes tues, thurs, and weekends
lol where's Ravi at? Thought he'd be all over this post.
If you want to go to a bar and don't want to deal with college kids, Al's is a great. It's in downtown Syracuse - kind of a chill, loungy vibe, a great beer selection and good food. Def hit up Sakanaya for sushi and if you want a really amazing burrito, go to Alto Cinco. They also have a good beer selection.
If you do hit up Harry's for college girls, and they're dancing on the bar, most likely they are in my sorority. And a lot of them are going to Ultra. Everyone on campus thinks they are super cool for liking Tiesto and Deadmau5. But it makes for a slight upgrade of music at the frat parties
Also, if you say the name "Ravi Bayanker" in Harry's, pretty much anyone who works there will get a hard on. Including the girls.
Yea ask Ravi.
Personally, I think Syracuse sucks. If you like the bro stuff then you would have a good time.
Marshall St. has some ok places
Awesome suggestions so far! Perfect... one of the guys i'm traveling with is a huge pasta guy, the other loves sushi, and me...well I like drunk college girls, so this Harry's place and it's "Sorostitutes" sounds quite interesting!
Last time I was there it was during some stupid snowstorm which wouldn't let me go anywhere besides the Blue Tusk...
And anyone suggest a good peeler joint, ripper club, ladies haven, Adult Entertainment etc... for "Team Building" exercises lol, gonna have to take the boys out when I'm there as well.
And where is the best place for a GOOD steak, not a fancy steak, or a chain that says they have the best steaks, or a expensive steak that people assume means a good steak. But a GOOD steak...
Thanks everyone!

Is this Harry's bar, this place?
At 700 S Crouse Ave?
Sounds right, it's below a CVS
And this shaping up nicely, everything is right around my hotel, except for that Scoth'N'Sirloin, that place is kinda far looks like, 10 minute drive, but if it's worth it...

And WTF is this "Juice Bar" thing for some of your strip clubs? So if it's fully nude it's no alcohol? And then they say to BYOB? That's fucked lol! So where is the suggested normal straight up strip club with a normal bar? But not too pricey?
Go see a 'Cuse game if you can! I dont even like basketball that much, but the vibes at a big Uni like Syracuse used to have me going to them all the time! SO much fun. Then follow all the crazy college kids to the bars and party with them (especially if they win!)

you must go to dinosaur bbq and order the porksket and ribs.
also, try the syracuse pale ale (SPA) - a syracuse gem!
armory square is a good place to bar hop. the blue tusk has a great selection of draft beers.
maybe the syracuse crunch (AHL hockey team) have a home game this week?
if i were you i would stay away from the nonexistent club scene because it's just really bad music and venues. stick to the bars!
oh, and stay away from south salina at night.

Called paradise...ether lost or found, not sure which. all the other clubs i have been to were in the ghetto and had preg strippers/busted bitches, however, they are pretty easy... |
and "combos" advertised at the door on a giant plasma screen, gold, platinum and diamond entrance fees... and a GIANT monster of a man at the door and petite harlot telling me I had pretty eyes at the door.
I went to school at Buffalo but I've been to Syracuse quite a few times. I recommend Dinasour BBQ for food and Armory Square for drinks.
I did had a good time at Syracuse University but that's a another story...

AVOID: east fayette street unless you're in the heart of downtown. Same goes for Salina.
Syracuse bars are the SHIT! I worked at harry's for like 5 years, go there on a thursday, friday saturday and ask for jon, tell him Ravi suggested you come there and that you love "that techno shit" LOL!!
food... def go to dinosaur you have to. lemon grass is good for thai, the tusk has nice sandwiches... king davids is dope middle eastern food but i think the marshall st location is closed now
STRIP CLUBS: adult word on erie blvd... the strip club entrance is at the back of the building, that place or Dream Girls, also on erie are the best imo. There's a spot on the northside that serves alcohol but its only topless so fuck that.
I LOVE THE CUSE!!! def try and get to basketball game, there was one last night actually, WV. next game is saturday at 4 at the DOME. #1 venue in college basketball.
oh man im overwhelmed at how hard it is to tell someone where to go in the greatest city in the world.
LIQUOR NEAR YOUR HOTEL: go to westcott street. there's a spot across from sabastinos. Or go to piraino's and see butchie. its on randall road by number 1 kitchen.
lol the cuse is straight hood
supermarket? go to Wegmans! <3
HOLY FUCK DINOSAUR BBQ!! OMGWTFBBQ!!
Brisket, pulled pork and ribs, with rice and beans and the tomato and cucumber salad... WOW!
Tried a pitcher of SPA too... nice!
Lovely gal Annie as our waitress! Bought some of the jabenero sauces as well.
Now, if this can digest soon, Harry's for some beers.
WOW! Harry's, reminds me of university, girls everywher getting stupid. Felt old as fuck tho!
And I talked to the bartender, he loves Ravi lol. Ran into Jon on the way out, he was happy that you sent me there.
You're a popular guy Ravi! They love you there, you must spend a nice amount of change there lol
What is this Daisy Dukes/Vinyl place like? On a Thursday?
I know Harrys is gonna be rammed tonight, don't feel like waiting in line or a super busy place.
How is the Finnagan? Fannagan?
Daisy Dukes has a mech bull which makes it all right. All those spots downtown at Armory Sq are nice and fun
