I'm kind of tired of it, to be honest. I like its intent, but it's suggested methods (i.e. no religion - even though I understand he's probably simply denying religion should be a cause of violence/disagreement) seem a little simplistic. It's pretty but when you've heard some asshole train-wreck into and out of its remix half-a-dozen times, it loses its significance.

Actually, it's because I wanted to see the impact of what I call "The Lennon Effect": it's nearly impossible to spend your life without hearing this song at least once, and it's also impossible, I believe, that everyone who listens to it is against religion, against nationalism, against capitalism an so forth. As John Lennon himself said, the moment he sugar-coated his message, people paid attention, so I'd like to know if there's really any truth to this...
(To be honest, I can't listen to anything without synths AND under 170 BPM for too long

As Jay says, it's not his best work but it's his most famous. Ask most people who've never heard of Nirvana and they'd list Smells like teen spirit for example, but I still like it.

used to like the song but I enjoy it less as I get older. Not sure if this is because of the lyrics or melody.
