Be Cool! PVD in Boston review

Enjoyed it, had a great time. He played for 2 hours from 12 to 2. First 40 minutes were OK, 2nd half was awesome. Everything after he dropped Fire Wire was awesome. Cheese vocals to the minimum just a lot of hard pumping progressive stuff. Place was completely packed. I'm usually staying on the dance floor for whole night and it got so packed to the point that I moved back to the bar area, like sardines in a can. Kudos to Royale for installing lasers

P.S. where do you people usually park because I'm tired from getting raped my TUFTS Medical parking. $20 for PVD ticket, $28 for parking. Parking on a street, getting a ticket and paying it off is actually cheaper.

I park at the Boston Common Garage. It's about a 10 minute walk from Royale. $11 if you park after 4 pm and leave before 8 am.

I haven't been in a while but there used to be a spot like a min walking distance near tufts. Last time I went there were no parking signs all over the place. Sucks because no one ever seemed to park there. Either they didn't know or don't read the signs right. I usually luck out close by on kneeland/stuart st. though, just have to know where to look. I've never used garages around there. Noticed a few of you on here are in RI. Where are you RI people from? I actually live close to prov. Might know a few of you.

I'm in North Providence not far from RIC, but working in Mass.

great night, PVD layed down a really good set. I agree with SickBrain, the first 30-40 min was good, not great. But after FireWire, he started throwing down. Highlight of the night was Faithless - Insomnia.
There was a decent crowd there, the floor was packed, but always great that there is room off to the sides to dance. Lines for the bar were very short if there was one at all. The laser that they have is awesome - it really helps that room out. Without the laser, the club's lighting is pretty weak.

Two issues though; the sound was pretty loud. I left the club and my ears were ringing pretty bad and I was in back of the couches behind that dance floor.
The other issue is not being able to smoke a cigarette until after 12:30. They did the same thing for Oakenfold back in May and Ferry back in September. I don't get this policy - they say it is a city law or something, but i've never heard of it before.

Great set, great crowd, I had an absolute blast.

I though the sound system wasn't very good though.

I agree about the sound system. Didn't posted because I thought maybe it was just me. Could hardly hear mids and vocals. It wasn't like this when Ferry was there.

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't that way for Ferry since A&B are coming in april.
