Magdelayna - Hope Still In Your Heart [Progessive/Uplifting]

Hi guys - this is my first original production in 8 months,after doing a host of remixes - its good to get back to making a track from scratch - this one is going back to the more deeper & hypnotic trance i started out producing years ago - sample is below,any comments appreciated.

the progression and vibe are nice.

I'd personally want to add more of a lead instrument over the chords, even a sweet little piano melody or something...

Percussion is really generic. Use a loop for Allah's sake. Track is too loopy.

I have 2 types of hi hat in there,fast hats,clap,various FX and 3 tribal loops in there - maybe you cant hear them all properly as youtube has such poor sound reproduction..

Long time ago I heard a track of yours (I think it was yours) on a podcast by a guy named DJ Addison (Trance Rotation maybe?). I loved the song but couldn't ever find it.

I believe it was 'When We Used To Talk'. If I remember correct it was a real progressive intro song. Might be remembering wrong.

Ah yeah,just looked and he played that as the first track on Episode 19 - was a really early track of mine though,may go back and rework it sometime..

I must say I do like tracks that make me want to dance, this is definitely not one of them, but this is great headphone music. Lots of atmosphere and a beautiful vibe, hey, sure, the progression might be a bit cliche but familiarity works sometimes and I think it does here.

In terms of mix and sound quality though I can't say much, regardless of how amazing your mix is it will sound like ass uploaded to YouTube.

The open hat is not in time for me. Mag - for years you only posted tracks on anjuna forum and never once did I see you give anyione feedback - have you changed that habit? Sorry to mention this but it always intruiged me.

I have done in the past there Richard,i admit probably more on other forums..believe me ive given my fair share of comments or feedback on many tracks from producers starting out over the years,i try to contribute as much as i can to the trance scene, for example i pay for a premium soundcloud account just so i can have all my unsigned productions/remixes available all the time for anyone who wants to download them so plz dont question me on that side of things.
