Averaging about $700 on ebay. I watched 5 tickets go for $750 plus this afternoon

ridiculous

If there are no day passes then why are people an websites selling single day passes?

because people do not know yet if there will be single day passes, they are assuming there are. I have heard from a reliable source that it is going to be a bracelet this year. I know that NO ONE has gotten there ticket to find out. I ordered 3 tickets when they were $129

Besides the reliable source, I think a lot of people are assuming it anyways. To me it does not make sense, you would think ultra would want to fill the days with people and that would happen if they released single day tickets within the 3 day package. But you know, ultra does not make sense in a lot of things they do.

Someone posted this e-mail ultra ticket support
quote:
Hello, We did not sell Single Day passes. Ultra Music Festival 2011 tickets are sold out. Tickets are no longer available at any retail outlet. Tickets will not be sold at the gates. Ticketing Customer Service Dept.

So basically these websites thst are selling one day passes are trying to scam people?

Posted by ISOS4 on Feb-20-2011 18:01:

I mean how does a park sell out 30plus days before the event an not even let people know tix are almost out. Was gonna buy ghem the day they sold out.

Posted by amberella06 on Feb-20-2011 18:05:

I remember reading a few days before they sold out that they were 95% sold out...that's not much warning, but it's something.

Posted by PatMcGroin on Feb-20-2011 18:22:

yay another ultra ticket thread. should we start taking bets on how many more are to come? over/under 15? what do you think?

and just because this needs to be posted again and again.

Posted by MdTechno on Feb-20-2011 18:46:

they gave plenty of warnings, as prices rise that means less and less are out!!!

then they stated 95%, then 98% have sold.

I got plenty of warnings. you snooze you lose, not trying to be harsh. they only have so many tickets / space, and demand was extremely high this year due to being 3 days and/or wmc not on the same week, etc...

I am just pissed i didnt buy more early birds!!!

Last year Ultra Saturday sold out. Granted, it was the day of the event. But it was the biggest cluster f**k I have ever seen. Everyone was saying about buying extra tix this year, because the demand at the door was unbelievable! Also, if you signed up for Ultra's mailing list, they emailed everyone advising of it being 95% sold out and then on Thursday, the 98% sold out memo. I was shocked that it was so far away as well. But suply in demand I guess.

Posted by LiquidX on Feb-20-2011 19:18:

Well, they will be the same 50,000 or 55 thousand people attending all 3 days that's for sure

no, the people selling the single day tickets think that it will be like last year where if you bought multiday pass that you get each individual ticket in the mail.

This may or may not be the case, ultra is not releasing any information about this.

Posted by element-y on Feb-20-2011 22:15:

Guys it makes sense. They should not worry about attendance numbers this year and how much extra they could be making. Rather they should worry about their event going on for next year. Look at the crap Insomniac got for the overcrowding. Having a wristband will limit the amount of people easily and yet they still charge a good amount to make profit. I do predict they saw this coming from ticket sales and phase 3 will be very shitty

Lame

I am hoping that individual day tickets will be sold closer to the event, I only wanted to go to ASOT 500 Day 3. I think that it is so lame that you would have to commit yourself to all 3 days to go to Armin's special event on the last day. Especially since details about ASOT 500 were not even released until after UMF tickets were up for sale and whether it was a separate event or a part of UMF. Armin didn't do a good job with planning this Miami event at all.

Do you think that individual day tickets will be sold? Wristbands for all 3 days oould be one color and individual days another....makes sense right?

did you try StubHub

I am sure they would sell single day tickets if they didnt sell out, but they are saying they sold out so thats all they have to sell.

Posted by nfekted on Feb-24-2011 10:26:

i'm astounded, really. i remember years ago when I would pay around $50 for a ticket. is this some kind of joke or is Ultra now pure epicness that shouldn't be missed? wow....

Posted by Meaner on Mar-01-2011 16:41:

any "official" word on if tickets are individual day passes or a single all-3-day wristband?
