Quad is just as good if not better considering we can go late

The place did a terrible job of trying to re-brand itself as "not a gay club anymore", so it sort of had an identity crisis. When it became Primal, the promoters brought in the douchebag crowd, and it clearly became a straight club. If you remember, they made an obvious point of having people like Pamela Anderson and stuff as "guest hosts" when they first opened to send the signal that "This is not a gay club anymore".

I remember one time I was at WetBar (I think Ferry was spinning), and some trannies in girl scout outfits were dancing around in the VIP area near the DJ booth. It was batshit crazy, and I thought it was awesome, but I can see how most people in Atlanta would have a hard time feeling comfortable in that sort of environment.

It's good that The Quad can go late. All true EDM clubs should. I remember the days when eleven50 would stay open until 4am, but as soon as the earlier last call was implemented, it turned into "If we can't make money from the bar, we close". Lame.

Me too, Angela.

When I drive by the line outside Primal on the weekends I want to cry. No desire to go, whatsoever.

Im thinking about coming to Quad for Sasha.

Ryksopp is at Masquerade on my birthday. I do love that venue.

I can't count the number of times I've pointed to Primal saying to friends/family things like:

"That's where I interviewed Eric Prydz."
"That's where I broke my watch off from clapping so hard to Steve Lawler."
"That's where Tom and everyone found out that he was getting released on Audiologic."
"That's where Hybrid thought I was James Zabiela."
"That's where I danced on a block whipping my hair back and forth when Deadmau5 wasn't huge yet."
"That's where I saw Sasha and Spooky play one of the most epic shows ever."
"That's where the best sound system in Atlanta used to be."

I could go on for ages...

And come to Sasha!

This is true. If you haven't been to the quad yet the vibe there definitely reminiscent of Wetbar.

Loved Wetbar! Checking out Quad this weekend, hope you're right!

Quad staff was as cool as Wetbar staff, and the room was definitely as mellow.

The sound however, was nowhere near what Wetbar was.

I agree on the sound. It started to get too loud towards the end and I had forgotten to bring my earplugs. I ended up just holding my fingers in my ears because I didn't want to damage my hearing. Next time I'll just leave them in my car.
