Trance Addicts from the 1990-1995 period
Are there any Trance addicts left around here from this period?
Born or addicted to that time period?
Whatever you mean - heres one.
i dont think tranceaddict has been online that long. it started around 2001 i think? im not even sure internet was commercially available 1990. tranceaddict might have been a letter-group/mail-exchange-clan before though, i dont know. write a letter about a rave you attended, copy it and send it to the friends in your group. i dont know the eng. term but it was fucking ridicules.

yes, Trance-MB
I believe 1994 was the year that I developed a passion for 'trance' music.
I believe 94 is also the year I got hooked.
I was 6 years old, and the ecstasy was so good back then...

I myself got into trance in 1994. A friend borrowed me a tape with tracks such as Sunbeam - Outside World, Jens - Loops & Tings and others.
1996 was when I first got hooked on trance.
Think most of what I listened to during the mid 90's was EBM, Industrial and various prog stuff Underworld was putting out. Actual 'trance', (whatever that means these days) I guess I started listening more to around the late 90s
i was almost not born at that time :; im pretty new to this game compared to yall.
1997, when I first heard "Children" by Robert Miles, was the start for me. I was 12 or 13, depending on what time of year it was.
back then , to me trance meant anything coming from the dream dance cd series , and 2 unlimited !!

I was more into the "ravy" side of trance back then, listing to commercial crap but really enjoyed it
RMB - Experience
DJ Hooligan - Rave Nation
Dune - Can't Stop Raving
Scooter - Endless Summer
my first exposure to it was in like 1992 or 1993 i think. i went to two raves, they were both held at a roller skating ring, but it was by accident because i was there because of skateboarding. i thought the music was fucking horrible, i was all into depeche mode at the time.
i didnt really start liking edm until 1994, the year i graduated high school. i was into the "demo" scene with amiga, and liked the music in the demos and games, and that led me to sasha, digweed, oakenfold etc.
few years later i used to stay up late on fri or sat nights to watch mtv amp. mtv amp was actually an even better gateway. i would write down the artist names and search the "internet" and download livesets. i had a shell account for internet access, it was all BBS sites, IRC, and FTP sites back then ...
Rave start for me, too. I just say: Dune - Hardcore Vibes; Star Wash - Strong like a Lion; RMB - Redemption; Ravers Nature; etc.
After that: Love Parade 1996!
