I always book my vacation to be from Saturday till the following Monday, so a whole week of recovery!

Partial lineup is not doing it for me, but I'm still feeling the aftershock of Sven! Gonna be a galactic weekend.

That's a great vid, just hyped me up!

I'm totally looking forward to a Saturday afternoon in the sun at the beatport tent, soaking up some groovy beats from Art Department and Soul Clap with an ice cold tall boy in hand! THE BEST!

Apparently DoubleTree still has rooms locked/blocked out for that weekend, I was told they would be released by March 1st. Called today and spoke with the front desk manager and he's still not sure why they are blocked and showing up at $229 a night. He assures me that it has to be a corporate thing blocking out the rooms for some reason and to keep checking and soon they will release it and they will be avail for the public at the normal $159/night rate.

For Friday-Monday or for Saturday-Monday?

You can book the Fri-Mon online, but they blocked anything Saturday-Monday or the individual days I think as well. I booked a double for Sat/Sun/Mon because another DoubleTree rep did it for me using my HiltonRewards membership.

I called today and changed it from a King to a Double, and the guy said to keep trying and call in every couple days for when they release the rooms.

I forget why they said it was blocked, something about a convention or something in the area, or some other concert... but just keep trying and checking back. I'll post here when I find anything.

Loved the DoubleTree last year, such a awesome room with the suite and the beds are the MOST COMFORTABLE THINGS EVER! I'd gladly pay a few extra bucks each night for the DoubleTree

I have never been before, so what is the hedonism schedule like: when do each day's proceedings start and finish? How about any after-party timings? When do bars and liquor stores open and close?

Thanks for the info. I was gutted when I saw that I couldn't book sat/sun/mon. The Doubletree was such a nice hotel last year and I really want to stay there again.

DEMF is noon to midnight (12-12) each day. Afterwards there are bars and clubs that serve till 2am, same as here. They start serving again at 11am. I don't recall, but some people say that because of the holiday weekend it get's extended till 3am, but I can't confirm that. Most after-parties start around 11pm and go full force around midnight - 1am and go all through the night. The after-parties have after-parties which have after-parties and sometimes go well into the next day after DEMF has already re-opened!

You can buy booze anywhere tho, gas stations, markets etc. So just stock up your hotel room and you should be fine.

Be prepared to be up from about 2 or 3 Saturday afternoon till about Monday night... with a few spotted naps in between.

I'm "planning" to approach this DEMF differently than other years and rest at night, less partying and after-parties and enjoy the festival itself a bit more. Don't go to hard in the beginning (which is soooo hard because it's so much fun and exciting). Rest up Sunday night too, no boat this year for me, and Monday start giving 'er like she's never been gave before! Old Miami, and DEMF all day and after/closing parties... just end that ****** on a bang!

2:36 of the video, perfect BlackBerry advertisement!

Moi aussi... not that I did must club/parties after-partying last year, but did hit up the one event where Ida was supposed to be spinning... the night generally felt like a big mess.

My plan this year is NO after-parties at all... just DEMF (and hopefully I'll be getting on grounds much, MUCH sooner in the afternoons this year!), and then hotel after-parties with friends.

I'm saving myself for proper full festival days at Hart.

I AM doing Old Miami this year... I wont be sleeping in and missing it like happened last year. MASSIVE FUCKING FAIL. (opposite of WINNING)

Also, I hope to drink more this year (always a goal, lol).... STEFAN.. Looking at you mate!! BLUE MOON baby!!

We are both doing old Miami this. We are switching from bi-loosing to bi-winning.

I might do an aftr on first night then rest for om.

No drinking on street and no boats lol

Some hard techno with Dave Clarke at one of the after-parties? Uh-oh, if I do make it, that's already one after-party that I can see myself not being sensible enough to turn down!
