Miami's fan bases
And after watching the Heat last nite, it makes me wonder that the entire city of Miami (Heat, Fish, Canes, Marlins, Panthers) def has one of the most Fraudulent Fan bases ever!!!
LeBron had to be pist by the lack of showing of Heat fans last nite
Noone gives 2 shits bout the Dolphins
Maybe if fans gave 2 shits bout the Marlins, MLB would tell u2 to fuck off
Panthers....no comment
Canes....can't even fill the orange bowl anymore
Stats say something different

This is always been the case with South Florida fans and their sport teams. They arrive late to games and tend to disappear if their teams are not peforming well.
But there has always been a huge NY team fan base in South Florida. There are a lot people from NY who moved down south and remain loyal to their teams. I remember when my aunt moved down to Coral Springs more than 15years ago and I swear everyone was from some part of NYC.
miami is one of the worst sporting towns ever. the only time people care here is when we're about to win a championship and thats it. and even then theres empty seats in the house.
oh and a big
for lebum getting stuffed by amare at the end and then missing the 3.
i fucking hate lebron. always have. kid doesnt deserve half the talent god gave him. and although im a heat fan i do not want this team to win. the only way i'll accept it if they win is if lebum either isnt playing or has the worst game ever.
The Heat game last night was sold out. Nobody will ever confuse this town for a sports town, but the Heat are top 5 in the league in attendance.
The Heat are top5 in ticket sales, not attendance. Don't mistake the two.

The reason this place has the worst fans ever is because too many people from every other state come live here & root for their home teams which I don't think is the problem as much as people who are from here or have lived here their entire life but root for teams of states they've never been to or know anything about.
Like everyone & their mother loves the Yanks (barf) but if you go to NY, you'd hardly see them rooting for any other teams...they're either die hard Mets or Yank fans - same goes for their other teams.
As for me I can give 3 shits about any other sports but baseball & basketball & I've ALWAYS liked the Marlins & the Heat - win or lose they're always the ones I'll root for.
I'm not even a Lebron fan in the least. I'll always stay true to our main man, Wade.
Your Heat will more likely stomp on Magic this Thursday..
I don't know about what you say in the OP. I think Miami has always been a football town and I think more people give a shit about the Fins than any other Miami team. Everything else is about right.
The reason Canes can't fill up the stadium is because they play where the Marlin/Fins play. Tough to fill for a bunch of drunk college students and alumni.
In miami - people care when they are in the playoffs.
Me - shit I am loyal to my fins even in their 1-15 season.

I lived in Miami for a year and a half, and am now back in Chicago--yes--the city that beat you guys 3x this year. Haha. Everyone knows that Chicago is one of the greatest sports cities in the US, and everyone knows that Miami is one of the worst. I think there are many factors. As some said, many people from many parts of the US come to live in Miami but stay loyal to their hometown teams (I know I did), but there is also the fact that many people come from Europe and South America and could really give two sh++s about basketball or football (american) or hockey, etc. There is also the fact that there is virtually no middle class in Miami, and often times (even here at Bulls games), the true fans are in the cheap seats, whereas those below will sit on their hands half the game, show up fashionably late, etc. Much of Miami is poorer and don't have the money to spend on such things. I remember having to drive essentially to the "suburbs" of Miami to find a decent sports bar....whereas sports bars/pubs/taverns etc are on every block in NYC or Chicago, they are few and far between in Miami. Miami just is not Sports friendly for fans. I too was never a fan of Lebron, but outside of the women, I don't know why the hell that moron ever wanted to play in such a terrible sports town, when he could have had a large market/winning club/best fan support had he gone to Chicago or NY. His loss though....season will end early for the Heat.
