The Silver bowl at UNLV and the surrounding grounds could handle this.
Vegoose Festival was held there 3 years in a row.

| Originally posted by theSEAN let me see if i can remember stuff about it.. i just remember that it was like one of those 2-3 day outdoor events. it was summer. the weather was ungodly hot around that time. SacTo temps went into the 100s that weekend i believe. someone attending the event was posting info about it on the BayRaves message board. they were sayin stuff like not long after the event even started, people were passing out from either heat exhaustion, overdosing, or a combination of both. i think getting drinking water was a problem. i think they were overcharging for bottled water and security wasn't letting outside food or drink in. the advertised "lake where you can cool off" turned out to be a dirty pond that was getting the tail-end of a sewage plant. as far as DJs and music acts were concerned, i think some DJs didn't show up. The promoter was reportedly not paying the ones who did. By the last day, hardly anyone was around to listen to DJ Keoki spin a reportedly "terrible set". before the dust could even settle, the promoter was nowhere to be found. people were looking for refunds, but he supposedly "escaped to Mexico". he apparently made quite a bill off this "inferno of thizzed-out hell". (Edit: he skipped town with every single penny.) |
