Monkey Dancer 2 iPad2 - thoughts?

Am I the only one underwhelmed? The hope I had was that apple was finally going to take care of the deficiencies in the last iteration. Make this one slightly more business oriented, seeing how businesses are desperately trying to incorporate it but have to struggle to make it useable. For example - run office apps, store files, possibly even a smart card reader... Instead, we got a faster CPU and some size shaving. Bah humbug.

So, what u think of the new "magical. Amazing. Unicorn-breeding game-changer. Again"

Full disclosure: typed on my first gen iPad

i think lol

Well i thought that the first ipad was an overhyped underpowered useless overpriced piece of shit only bought by apple fanatics and/or fucktards with too much money on their hands trying to look hip.

If anything the opinion of its successor is worse.

i want 4 of them, so i can watch 4 different pr0n feeds!!

My brother is a swim coach, and the iPad is actually very handy for him. Sure, he could probably be using the Xoom now, but he can show his swimmers videos of their stroke on deck, can keep stats and times updated constantly through a data feed managed by the officials panel, amongst many other things. He uses it constantly. I wouldn't quite consider him a fucktard just because he wants to make things a tad more efficient.

naw he is a fucktard because he lives in Kentucky.

Posted by ziptnf on Mar-03-2011 02:51:

I'm in that club too then

Posted by Zyklon_Jay on Mar-03-2011 02:53:

yeah but you get a pass because i like chicken and watermelon.

Posted by ziptnf on Mar-03-2011 02:56:

Hey, I never said I was a n*****.

Oh, and I can laugh at him because I will have a masters degree and he'll have his bachelors that he's not using because he's a swim coach

I was reading an article today that states the iPad 3 is the real game-changer. That's slated for release later this year, apparently.

We shall see.

Bolox. Apple does one per year. Next one may be VZ-oriented, but that's it. Oh well... If iPhone is of any indication, I suspect apple will stay the course, not changing that much aside from faster CPU more ram and keeping it closed, as now

I'll get one if Charlie Sheen tells me to.

Posted by r5a on Mar-03-2011 06:44:

what a joke.

serious moneygrab for apple and all the apple zealots are eating right out of their hand.

basically the exact same fucking thing.

About storing files. I would use something like Dropbox or sugarsync for that.

I hate iPads

Not enough of a feature upgrade to justify the expense. My current one does exactly what it needs to, and I was only going to bother with it if the new one had storage expansion, higher resolution, significantly longer battery life, and/or something really cool that I don't even know about. It delivers on zero of those.

Fine for home user, doesn't do shit for me if I want to do real work offline. Also, corporations are still slow to swallow the "cloud" pill, due lack of control and transparency in third party security. The business use of iPad has been largely ignored... Again.

I could have easily sold an 800+ iPad solution, on a single small scale project, had this been properly addressed. Instead, iPad continues to be the tool of choice for passing time, while taking the Browns to the Superbowl.

Yup, my thoughts exactly... But people will lap it up like it was an Apple-branded product.

I can't find one good reason for buying this.

Except porn.

Posted by david.michael on Mar-03-2011 13:45:

Well, I've never really been an iPad fan. But, if you're in the market for an HD video camera anyway.... ::shrug:: Maybe it's not that horrible of a purchase after all.

Posted by igottaknow on Mar-03-2011 14:56:

i was hoping they would add wings or offer a large version called maxipad

Posted by sonicboom on Mar-03-2011 16:05:

can it do stuff by now or do we have to wait for version 5.3?

Posted by PvDoBseSSioN on Mar-03-2011 16:08:

ehhh maybe when ipad7 comes out and its 3 dollars n equipped with free blowjobs

id like a 17" iPad Pro Nano with OSX SabreTiger with only a dialwheel for operating, optical/coax digital sound output in addition to dual balanced stereo XLR (to put into a analog dj mixer from the 80s). It wouldnt need HD cause everything was/is/gonna be streamed from your iPhone PRO (which is just a aluminum chunk with no buttons, displays or anything, but is where everything is comput3d), outsource all cpu usuage so that the iPad can run for 100days without charge. and it will charge wirelessly with the radiation from the alu ihphone pro chunk as long as you are closer than 100m to the chunk. If not all your lightbulbs will enlight instead.
