Looking to visit the UK for Olympics - where to hear good trance?

Since 2002 I have wanted to go to the UK & other nearby places and experience a good trance performance live, but it seems it won't be till at least next year that I'd likely be able to get over there. I have been told multiple times back in 2002 that it would be a shame if I can't get there sooner as the scene will likely have changed. Has it? If so, is it possible to hear beautiful melodic vocal trance like what Above & Beyond play, as well as the classics of the late 1990s live today? I don't care how much it would cost at this point. I'm just afraid of missing out as I still love this genre and consider it the best music to listen to. It's one of the few genres that actually makes me happy & forget about what bothers me.

You should visit Ministry of Sound in Elephant & Castle on Fridays' (The Gallery) which is the usual trance night. Also Brixton Academy sometimes have trance music on ie. Above & Beyond a year ago and Armin van Buuren tomorrow night.
