Wii Suggestions.

I'm not really a gamer at all (nhl series, gta series that is it.), but I won a Wii and am looking for games to buy to keep around for when people visit. What are the best "party" games for this thing? Best games period? Humour and violence are very welcome. No weird used japanese panties shit plz. (ok if it exists i'll probably buy it.)

House of the Dead: Overkill.

House of the Dead Overkill is pretty pick-up-and-play. You'll want the little Wii Zapper attachment though.

Oh, and Overkill is different than House of the Dead 2 & 3.... don't get 'em mixed up. (I have both. House of the Dead 2 & 3 is not as well done. It feels very..... translated.)

Absolutely. The nice thing is that there are plenty of options, but the downside is there is no one "perfect option" for everything.

Fair point; I haven't tried any of the other gun attachments so I'm sure there's a better option. In fact, maybe I'll look into that myself... HOTD is like our goto party game (great for the post-house-party stragglers).

Also remember the virtual console, old nes/snes/64 titles and also that you can play gamecube games, such as the old nhl ones

i don't own a wii, or any of those new-fangled hi-tech next-gen systems, but i've heard the metroid games for wii were the shit. oh and the new punch-out!! incarnation looked great too. also the new zelda coming out like, soon (i think) is hella hyped right now.

tbh if i owned a wii, i would just play all the old school games for the virtual console. metal gear 2 for the msx, all the super and regular nintendo games, etc.
