California 2010 Taxes question

Well this place is as good as any to ask this question.

I've done a decent job at understanding where to plug in the numbers when filing the CA Taxes (540). I'm doing this all on my own this year instead of buying a program to do it for me. But one part I can't figure where to enter is the State Income Tax that was taken out of my W2s last year. On the CA (540) I'm thinking maybe I enter my State income tax (from line 17 on my W2s) onto Line 10B on the California Adjustments page? But I'm not sure where this number goes, and if it even goes on the

Is anyone a tax guru?

You can do your taxes with the state for free through the state. Just have your federal one done, first. It uses info from that thhen it guides you step-by-step if I recall correctly. Haven't done mine for this year yet (cause I'm gonna owe )

But if you're getting a refund, I recommend asking for a paper check. I filed for electronic refund in 2008 and they never sent it ($200)! Made numerous calls to my bank and the state, each blamed the other and the state just insists that it was sent (even though I faxed over bank statements that don't show the deposit). Never had a problem with Federal though, I think they have upgraded the Eniac.

Sorry to hear this. I actually never had a problem and already got my refund.
