Never seen a thread about this sport of running. Boring to some but their life to others i.e who still follows Dyestat(now ESPN rise)
I started in middle school as a talented XC runner but go to HS and as a Freshman rocked but down high due to minimal training blame myself as I look back.
PR's 10k-40:08,5k-18:55,1 mile: 4:58,800m: 2:16
now turning 29 soon I have not run since HS except taking 2 college running classes. Just hit the tread mill and now after 3 solid months of training I just did a 19:36 for 3 miles tonight. Once it gets warm out I really want to test the track with my 5k(3.1m) then start with the town 5k's. I felt so embarresed with what I ran a few months ago but now I have a shot being in the top 80 to 90% if I keep it up!
So...Anyone else run and if so let me see some PR's or times of your distances.

So this is why everyone thinks the search function "doesn't work".
Why would you search for the word 'thread' when people don't necessarily include that word in their titles?

I know Google can find a needle in a haystack. I want to use the TA search. I have used it before and got good results but this time:
Garbage in = garbage out so how do I fix the garbage in

I will try the TA search again to find my thread and if someone finds this mystical other running thread and then I'll shut-up.

ok so it is a time delay is the issue. If I waited a couple of hours then there would of been no search issue. SOLVED

I can't stand running for time. Blah, blah, "I'm competing against myself" - then why do you have to let everyone else know what your times are?
Saucony Kinvaras are great minimalist runners - been using them since last summer, not a single injury. Trail running beats running on concrete any day of the week. I'm hoping to give barefoot running a go this summer.
That is all.

If you run on a Team other than traning you have a time for every race I ran. I can't hide from them. Plus they gauge how far I come recently from the past 10 years of not running at all. You could tell me the worst time on the planet and I can relate when I ran a 10k in 52min with practice and little kids and women who were in shape were beating me. Gives me motivation where I want to be again and even better than those said times. If no one else knows then something they can compare to and if you workhard those are possible.

You can't just run because it's fun and good for you?

Right now its mainly the good for me. I am not having fun when I am almost done with my workout feeling like complete shit. When I finish then I have a sense of accomplishment. Once I run an actual race soon then I 'll see if that traning paid off. Plus my stomach area looked like shit. I am doing crunches for 10 min and then run. At least 4-5 times a week and still going to do it. Between 9/10pm is the only time I have so when I am done, hit the shower and some tv and sleep.
The last 5 lb's is the hardest if I am saying it correctly
PS. There are no youtube vidoe's of my training like many others outthere. I don't want to blind anyone with my whiteness.
