its great dude, exactly some the music u guys should be making. the kind tech house djs want to spin. you're going to need obnoxious white noise in this, make it sound as bigroom as you can. dont try TOO Hard.

forget remixes on your other single, do up a EP instead, it will be better for you.

Good stuff man!!

Posted by Seandroid on Mar-12-2011 23:45:

I've gotta say, I enjoy your darker, more hypnotic tracks quite a bit more. This sounds a bit grungy, I'm listening on Macbook speakers at the moment, I'll give you a more well rounded opinion when I get home but I'm not feeling it man.

sounds good to me.. do you have any side projects?

Posted by mathieu on Mar-13-2011 02:09:

Maybe push the snare hits back, would give the groove more bounce

Love that kick, nice job

Thanks for all the thoughts guys, gives me direction. Meriter I wasn't sure what you meant by side projects? I've got to fix my kids bike in a minute - thats a side project no, lol?

Cool man

Posted by tehlord on Mar-13-2011 11:23:

I left teh minor cloud comments.

I don't really like the genre, but I do like the groove. Which is pretty much the point of the track I imagine.

sounds cool.

Made changes following your feedback. Transitions still to do, otherwise hopefuly it's better now.

Very cool, guys. Nice, dark, brooding and groovy. Love that bass-line, too.

Posted by Beatflux on Mar-14-2011 01:11:

Seems like you got the vocals to fit in there nicely. The drop is disappointing though. The track darkens at the drop and that robs the energy even more.

this is exactly what i was thinking - that last drop should be face-melting with the supersaw melody in full force but glitching and sweeping in and out - maybe some extra percussion to carry the groove at that point til the track tapers off.

really cool song

Posted by Vancouver on Mar-15-2011 20:51:

I really like the percussion elements in this track. the Whip sound and the little bloop sound help create a cool rhythm. I couldnt help but bounce a little when I played it!

Posted by TranceLover007 on Mar-16-2011 19:46:

Rhythm, groove, melody are really catchy and driving, nicely constructed and with some interesting sound selection in it, got me grooving and this is really good sign lol, as far this last drop, I would prep this before you massively drop that final sound and would, kind of let it hang foe a two or even four bars with heavy sidechain to it and the rest, looks like you have very good control over lol - really cool idea Richard!!!!

Cheers,

Darek

Cheers fellas, all feedback is noted.

Here's quite a chnage for the track, mainly the breaks.
Break 2 went a bit trancey!

Sweeps to add.

Word. I particularly enjoyed the use of organic FX, like the lash.

I think the breaks are a little empty in contrast to the rest of the track, and could perhaps benefit from some extra weight, but that's my personal preference getting a hold on me. I guess with bigroom the contrast is all the more powerful when it drops back in.

You fellas are going to be mighty popular if you keep this up. Good stuff!

Nice work, sounds good to me!!

OWSEY - After your post I made the break a lot fuller and driving and it ended up leading to this drop - quite anthemic, almost trance for once eh!!

Don't kill me, but I listened to the original a few more times before you uploaded this one and it grew on me, I forgot to post but I definitely prefer the original version over this one.

Posted by Richard Butler on Mar-20-2011 22:59:

Seandroid, try it now - BIG LEAD and even a bit of me sing in there, and hopefuly a break rise that might spine tingle ya, ha

AINTNUTTIN BREAK N DROP by Dirtbox Divas

Posted by Seandroid on Mar-21-2011 00:36:

Our breakdowns are similar. That's kind of weird, haha.

The part where you high pass the track needs some white noise though, It's a little jarring, and I feel like you could both build more to that drop and have it slam in harder with some more impact and riser effects.

I like the track a LOT more this way though. Nice work.

Posted by Owsey on Mar-22-2011 00:07:

I'm getting a broken link Rich, are you updating again?

Posted by Richard Butler on Mar-22-2011 09:07:

Thinking it's about finnished bnut feel free to critique and particularly on the mix as it's that time now.

Cheers
