Got to love the Revenu Quebec, they change their minds on certain things day in and day out. One year you can write off something and the next year, they hit you for writing it off

Full of bureaucratic schmucks.

they amaze me every year. last year they came after me for money made while living outside of the country . I won, but when I think of all the time it cost me and the tax dollars it cost all of us....

here is a tip... go after all of the bs for life people and get them off of their lazy pepper asses before constantly trying to rape those that contribute something to society .

What's this year's tax rate on speed?

Its not that at all... what the article states is that circus failed to pay back the QST and GST which they received as sales revenue from 2004 to 2007, and possibly from 08-10. This is something every business has to do, but it is also subject to manipulation as well, im an accountant i know. Anyways, based on what the article says, it not the govt screwing circus, its just very very poor accounting practices on the part of circus.

Guess the dealers are going to have to start handing out receipts lol

Posted by princesultan on Mar-16-2011 12:50:

actually, as weird as it sounds, even the illicit sale of goods is considered taxable even if the practices are considered illegal.

lol i hadn't even read the original article and assumed it was this.

the class action suit being built against revenue quebec is going to be interesting.

conflict of interest at the government level? that's unpossible?

Pay no attention to the tax evasion case behind the curtain.
