Piknic Electronik
Can anyone tell me when the lineup for Piknic is going to be announced?
Sometime probably in April or May, seeing Piknic is usually at the end of May.
Ohokaay, I hope the lineup is as impressive as last year.
The only good thing about last year's lineup is that it will make this year's look stunning by comparison.
Fingers crossed.
Oh i'm hoping, My first piknic experience was last year. I did hear though that was quite week to the ones before last. HOPEFULLY it will BLOW OUR MINDS!! I went to igloofest this year for the first time too, only went for the first two nights, though was a bit disappointed for the lineup for that this year.
Last's year's lineup was terrible
Well it wasn't out of this world, but it wasn't that bad they had alot of pretty good djs, like Nicolas Jaar,Riva starr, Justin Martin, and lets not forget Josh Wink and Kalbrenner killing it! Though I really hope Claude graces us this year.
piknic cheaped out hardcore last year
lets hope that means this year is better
(however, from a business pov if the attendance was fine last year (and they saved a lot of money booking smaller acts) i don't see them changing their strategy)

Plus it be awesome if you get a gig at Piknic this year.
So tell me people, who was the best dj you've seen at Piknic? For me it had to be Josh Wink last year.
Jennifer Cardini for me

from last year: DJ Koze, Hakim Guelmi & Maher Daniel's sets all stand out in my mind.
Best set ever at piknic for me is The Ricardo vs. Richie one from 2006. Hands down.

Joris Voorn in 2009 was my favorite Piknic set. I went with just two friends, and we were pretty hung over from the night before so we had brought a blanket and we were just sprawled out on the grass, but the choons he was playing literally dragged us onto the dance floor like zombies. The summer party vibe he created, to me was just incredible. Hearing this track at sun set on a beatiful summer day = priceless:
Mistress Barbara was massive last so year. Same for the next day event with oxia Ellen alien and sachsa
Joris in 09 was probably it for me too. It was really just a perfect day all around.
Honourable mantion to Villalobos vs Zip, just because oddly enough the shit weather made the party better. Less stragglers and people fucked up for the sake of being fucked up...and more music geeks.
I also have a thing for the Fred Everything and JT Donaldson days....the music played is perfect for outdoors shows in summer. Nick Holder would be kinda nice too.
Was the 2009 joris vorn set recorded by any chance?

I had such a great time at that party, but listening to the mp3 afterwards I realized my impression would have been very different if I hadn't been there in person. The combination of the elements painted a very different picture.
Shit man just hearing these stories I can't wait for Piknic
. So tell me one more thing do they have such things as monthly passes for piknic or a yearly pass?
