How do you use SoundForge to record live radio streams?

ive heard before that soundforge can record live radio streams but i dont know how to use it.....

and also i heard that it could be used to record and directly convert to mp3...

ive tried total recorder but it doesnt work(for some reason i get a lot of static) which lead me to soundforge which i had a copy of lying around

does ne one know how it can be used?

use a little app called Rewire ...

it allows you to record what is playing on your comp and sent it back to your line input .. or something like that

soundforge is pretty similar to cool edit pro (i.e. if this doesnt work then get CEpro from www.downloads.com )

so all u need to do is set ur record input (via the volume thingy in your system tray, file>properties>recording) to 'what you hear' or 'wave' and then press record in soundforge/CEpro and play whatever it is u want to record

in CEpro u can check the recording level by pressing F10

just a tip: I use wavelab...it got timer options so u dont have to be home when the set starts, 24bit/96khz recording(if your soundcard supports it) and a whole lot of tools/plugins to shape up your radiostream(the new multiband compressor in 4.0 rocks!)
