Need Some Answers, Maybe moving Back To Ny

I need Some Help I currently Live in South Beach but am originally from NY, I never met up with any NY TA's or really experienced any Ny Clubs/Scene (Did the JP @ Sf, the Beginning of Exit, the end of Twilo "PVD 12 hr set" thing) Im thinking of Moving Back to the city, going back to school @ SAE to make Music.. Im not sure if its a good idea, Im a die hard trance head /tech head and really cant stand house. Will I go crazy in NY not being able to see for instance Tiesto this Saturday @ Space (Aug 17th) and Sasha @ Crobar on the 19th) or will I find some places to go... help me out

As you know the type of music that dominates clubs/Ny scene will not always be. It could very well go back to tracne in the near future. If I was you I would try and live near my family or if there not around your freinds.

when you say tech, what do you mean? we've got some nice tech house and some techno too. trance is scarce around here. but i think ny is a great place to be if you want a variety of electronic music.

there are some very good techno parties in the city. if i am not mistaken, the best weekly party in the city is techno, although it is on a monday. i know liquids has techno on thursdays, resident dj bonzai. centro-fly has had some big names on firdays i think (richie hawtin, donald glaude, others...). but the only thing is, all these parties are 21+.

there is supposedly a good classic trance party on tuesdays at remote lounge - resident victor dinare, and amit's friends are starting a wednesday night party (there is a thread on this board). but as previously mentioned new york is not the place for big trance parties at big clubs.

i think if you are moving to new york for music, you have to keep in mind that the best parites in the city are generally not in the big clubs and they happen on weekdays.

once you are into the scene here it is no problem to find something to do everyday of the week, it just might not be international talent or at a superclub.
