...Tisto U.S. Tour | www.tiesto.com
Say hello to a new Tisto. Yes, he's the world's most popular DJ. But the ceaseless desire to innovate that has pushed Tisto to the top of his game, propelled him to seek out some of the best musicians around, wherever in the world they or he happened to be. 'I've worked with these handpicked artists because theyre people I admire hugely, and because they make my music better. It's more fulfilling for me to work like this, but a lot harder and more challenging.'
In the end, admits Tisto, he's unsure how people will react to Kaleidoscope. 'It is completely different to what I did before,' he says cheerfully, adding that this is one of the reasons hes set up an appropriately named new label, Musical Freedom, to release the album. 'I'm introducing more and more flavors of what people know as Tisto. This is a record you can enjoy at home, not just on the dancefloor. But what is very important to me, is that every single track on the album will work when I play out too.'
He's not the world's greatest DJ for nothing...

I've always wondered how an EDM show in the SE off the beaten path would turn out. Hope it goes well, let me know how the attendance goes?
So how'd this show do attendance wise?
Was Tiesto able to pack Knoxville without any trouble?
Tiesto recently came to Raleigh, NC. Didn't get to go, but heard he was really good.

I was at that show with Grey Area, there was about 1300 + people there. I wouldn't exactly call that weak for the size of Nashville at that time.
I opened for Tiesto a few years back here in Nashville on a Wednesday night and we had the place packed out. He played here a few weeks back and I believe they were at capacity.
Nashville overall does a fairly good job with the big names, and now with dubstep taking over, the shows are getting even bigger.
I don't get out much these days, but from what I told it's certainly not in decline.
That's cool.
2003 is a little far back. I was thinking more since 2009'ish. Sounds like the big names will fill a place regardless where it is though?
