DJ Soulstone - Homeworld [Goa Trance]
A new mix by me, this time Goa Trance with a dip into the dark mood.
It's also on the faster side of life and features a bit of old and new tracks, while I tried to keep the flow smooth. Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment!

Badass looking set....big fan of Goa as well. I'm familiar with some of these names. Love Blue Planet Corporation. Definite download this is. Leave comments soon. Thanks for uploading a Goa mix, its almost non-existent.
You're welcome.
Too many shows with 3 digits and too much house floating around here. So I need to balance it a bit.
Nice mix fella,I felt you got the flow spot on around the 30 minute mark,Those next few tracks where really good.
Although alot of the tracks warn't pure goa,Thay worked very well,as always your mixing was awesome
Only other thing I did notice was a couple of tracks that came in sounded a bit weak, I really enjoyed it Though especially the last hour. with last two tracks Being Oldschool
Thanks a lot!
Well, I never really stick to one style through a whole set. It might not have been all pure Goa, but the Psy I used has a very similar feeling (at least for me
).
That some tracks feel a bit weak is due to a new approach on working the EQs that I tried. I'm not yet fully satisfied, but on a good way to minimize peaking volume within the transitions. There's always something to work on, isn't there.
I have downloaded this and I did listen to the first 30-40 minutes in the gym the other day. I did enjoy that part (except for that naff intro about the goa scene) and I'll try and listen to the full thing at some point. Got a big stack of stuff to hear, as ever.
I found it funny.
A try to explain in about 53 seconds what Goa is and it works well with the beginning of the first track.
But I'm glad you liked it so far.
Intro works well it . ..I like it ...
Looks tastyyy
Starting off with a complete bang, holy cow, Electric Universe really stomps this one hard
You maintained the energy for a good period of time, with some pretty decent tracks, and even got pretty dark in some points! The tracks were pretty good, but not quite banging toward the end. So I guess you could say you started off slamming and then tapered off to some less pounding, more psychedelic vibes toward the end. Mixing was pretty decent, Goa can be a pain to flow super smoothly, so I know how you feel when some of those melodies and strings don't just melt away quite the way you want them to. Nice set though.
Thanks a lot, zip! You described it pretty well. Funny thing regarding the energy is, that I didn't change the bpm.
Contrary to the opinions here I think the very first part of the mix was messy and not coherent. You started with the bombastic track then switching to Blue Planet Corporation mood which is setting the energy lower. The bpm might be similar but the mood of most of the BPC tracks is a bit more atmospheric. Then a patchy transition into the next track which is a bit minimal with a lot of acid. Too many changes in only three tracks.
Then, you kept with the high acid tunage and I liked it a lot. This was my favorite part of the mix.
The second part of the mix had the most goa in it, excellent flow. I liked it as well, especially the two classic tracks in the end.
Cheers!
Yay! A controverse mix! I like it more and more.
The good thing on "The Prayer" is that it has a wonderful DJ-friendly start. Actually it's well suited to change from fast Full-On into more Goa-like style. So in a certain way you can see this mix as a second part of a bigger set.
Actually I had something like a storyline in my head when I created this set, which is somewhat compareable to the plot of Battlestar Galactica.
the 1st track: Praying people, bascially all happy and satisfied, the world is in order
2nd: aquablue - the planet is diverse and full of life, atmospheric mood, but similar to the first
3rd: shiva signs - dark clouds at the horizon, shiva the destroyer saw the society is rotten by the root, the people feel impending doom
4th: lost transmission - shiva came and destroyed everything, the technology, cities and most of the population is gone, only very few survivers, who wait for the end
5th: a miracously not destroyed spaceship arrives and picks up survivers and what ever is left from the technology to leave the planet and search for a new home
6th: on their journey they find a black whole to use for space travel, quite bumpy ride
7th: they end up on the other side in "empty space", about to loose hope, but still fly on...
8th: ...through "cosmic space" until they run out of fuel/power, but...
9th: ..."per aspera ad astra" - "through hardships to the stars" they find a new home, it's similar their former home, but uninhabited
10th: in search of sites to build a new home, villages, towns and cities, they cut down the forest to make space
11th: but the people are divided, some want to live with nature, some want to use it like they did in the past, new home same old problems
12th: people are not united, arguing and one of the old people sitting in the "moonshine", who has seen it all, knows: "It might just start all over again!"
Or may be it's all different in your head...
Good idea, I like mixes with stories behind them more. But I think you had to make it a bit longer (at least the beginning of the mix) because it was too patchy then. Peace and love had to be a little bit more stable for additional couple of years.
this set is sweet, listening over and over cant' stop
Thank you!
I'm glad so many people like it and really appreciate that I get proper critics.
awesome set.. been listening on my 1hr commute everyday for 2days ina row now.
