question for JP8000 owners/users
Hey guys,
last night I was creating some performance sounds on my jp and created a fairly good trance supersaw performance. As you would know, a performance is made up of two sounds, which on the jp is known as the upper part and lower part. The sounds I have assigned to these parts are both supersaw patches but one has a slightly different tone and envelope shape to the other, the combination of these two patches played together sounds great but I have a problem. I cant seem to get the filter cutoff to work across the entire perfomance sound, it only affects either the upper or lower part of the performance sound. SO if I mover the filter cutoff slider down one part (sound) will close but the other stays untouched and fully open. Is there anyway of getting the filter cutoff to work across the entire performance? I went through the manuala few times last night but couldnt find anything. Any help would be great, cheers,
For sure!
On PANEL SELECT you must have the two, LOWER and UPPER buttons active. Should work
Also check if the filter type of both parts are set to LPF, so you can make the high cuts!
Don't forget to increase the reso a bit when closing
you could do what christianokeller said, or you could assign the filter states to each end of the ribbon controller
