producing loop/sample packs
hi guys,
ive been wondering lately, about making packs of loops. i don't really have any samples "of my own", as in recorded or created by me, but ima really good with-a the loops! [/italian pizza chef voice].
so how many loops would i have to make to be able to sell them, and what company would be best going through? ive bought sample packs that has contained loops, but never a loop-only pack, so like 50-60ish?
im thinking mostly drums, but i could probably do some melodic loops too..... i dunno...
anyhow, it's getting late here, i dont know what time it is there, but it's 4:20... oooh fouuur tweeeentyyy
noone?
i tried searching but couldnt find anything..
atleast 1000 samples and 200 loops.
fuck that noise... ill just sell them myself for 5 bucks pr pack of 25 loops with variations.
If they're anything like vengeance I wouldn't pay $.05 a pack. =P
But seriously there are too many hat/clap/rim/snare/clap type loops out there. I can't stand it. I wish someone would go out of their way to try something new and not use one single standard drum sound in any of their loops.
Some of my favorite loops that I wind up using are usually just something totally different that you're not use to hearing. Weird distorted blips and blops, clicks and glitched out sounds, anything to add a new dimension to my tunes. Hats/snares/claps/typical perc sounds rarely do that. I need odd sounds, kinda like the vengeance fx loop pack but none of those sounds were really practical.
I need more practical sounds that have never been heard before. Do that and I'll definitely buy your packs.
Are u talking about creating your own loops, or sampling "your own" loops?
I think creating loops from scratch with sounddesign and synths might work, but just chopping up existing samples further does not really deliver value?
